Countdown Day 2

Well here we are at day 2 of the countdown to christmas matchbox swap. This handmade box is from Maria of Hunted Treasures and guess what, she has my No 17 box. How coincidental is that.

The box is decorated with a felt bauble.

Inside were these delightful little christmas ornaments. The snowman is only 1/2" high!!! Thankyou Maria I love them to bits.

This is my box No 2. Again made from an old christmas card. This looks a bit like my house this morning. We woke up to a fall of snow of about 3" Brrr. Inside I enclosed a pair of christmas earings.

On the back I put a cut out flower from a new punch that I had just bought and was eager to try out. Don't the couple arm in arm look sweet. Hope you like it partner as much as I enjoyed making it.

Being very good and only opening the corect one on each day. Yes! I have will power.
I'm still looking for my gingerbread man. Any clues?

Hello There! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I have to give you a HUGE hand for opening them a day at the time! I can't wait to see which one of mine you have! I am glad you like my pink tree! My sweet hubby thinks it can be seen from outer space, which I think is a good thing in case any astonauts can't find their way back home! Have fun with the swap and a very Merry Christmas!! Shannon :)

Mrs. A., these matchboxes are such fun treats! Not only are the decorations on the outside fun and intriguing but inside, those little treats are just delightful! After seeing your initial post on the swap, I made a bunch and sent away to the UK but never thought to decorate the other side - will have to do that next time! TFS!

"Up-cycling" - good girl! Those re-utilised Christmas cards make very good "designer paper"; all snowy and as white as a snail!
...Just been enjoying a little trip through your posts Mrs A. Laughed a lot! Warmest wishes, Lesley
