Meaningful Christmas

Nearly through January already and it is time fo the girls in the Christmas Card Club to show our next makes. Christine chose the theme of True Meaning of Christmas. I received this card last year and as it was too good to just throwaway I decided to reuse here.

I didn't want to change the card too much just give it a new leash of life so I trimmed the card front down and attached to red card stock and then onto a cream cardstock base. Before attaching though I cut a  large circle from the card around the figures and manager and then popped up on 3d stickers. It gives a nice dimension which you can just see in the sideways photo below.
The wording was a gold sticker from my stash and part of a longer sentiment which I cut down as shown.

Turnabout

It is the turn of non shape cards to be shown for the second week of the current Butterfly Challenge.

I have 3 cards to show using the other options on the Butterfly Wheel.

First Card.

Uses:  Butterfly/Thankyou/Tickle me Pink/Thistle/Tea Green .

Die cut frame is by Penny Black ' Antique Frame'  and the Pre -coloured image is by Marianne Design which comes in a pack of 4 different prints and four sheets of design cardstock.  The butterfly is a SU punch and the embellishments are silver stickers from my stash
I am Entering this card into the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments #290 Anything goes plus your sentiment.
Ally's Angels #54 Anything goes.
A Place to Start #  Anything goes.
A Perfect Time To Craft # Anything goes.

Second card.

This one is using: /Butterfly/ Thankyou/ Tickle me Pink//Tea Green/Tan.

I have  used up scraps of the design papers and plain cardstock from the cards ( made for the Triple Point Cards) showcased last week to make a panel up which I die cut using using a Crafts - Too stitched frames set. The flower image is a Graphic 45 from their 'Blossom Collection' Die Cut Assortment along with the butterfly and banner tag. The sentiment is a silver sticker from my stash.  This is an easy way of using up your scraps which would otherwise go in your waste bin , only mine don't as I can't bear to throw away  and accumulate at an alarming rate instead.

I am again using a coloured image from Marianne Design and the design paper from the set as in card 1 above. The butterflies are a die set from Memory Box called 'Calais Butterflies' cut from scraps of left over papers from the previous week as in the card above. .' Again using the same set of die frames by  Penny Black.  Gold sticker embellishments from my stock. I think this is my favourite of the three cards but The Doc loves the middle card.

Black and Gold.

It's time for the girls in the Christmas Card Club to show our first makes of the New Year.  Kate has chosen Black and Gold as our theme. Way out of my comfort zone. My fingers are playing up so I have kept my card very simple and used one of Fluff's stamps from her FaDoodle range of stamps called Holly.
(Her latest one is also out now 'Snow Peeps' , already available at Whimsy Stamps and here in the Uk very shortly from Dies To Die For.)

I have made a slim line card measuring 8.25" x 3.75" from black card  and used a Die Cut Frame by Marianne Design CR1569 which I have backed onto gold cardstock before adhering to the cardbase. the holly and sentiments have been embossed using Wow gold embossing powder.

Amendment

I posted the card above at  9am but it was so out of my comfort zone that I couldn't leave it as was so here is the 4pm version. I simply added red and green glitter stickles to colour in the holly and  leaves also  a bit of shinny bling.I am now back in my Happy Zone !!

Rabbit Update
He is coming along. I am up to step ten now. He is looking more like a mummy from a tomb in Egypt  at the minute though!!
He can sit up unaided on his back legs. 👌  Next step is to feed him up with lots of carrots!!

Stay safe and well.

I Will, I will, I Will

I am not one for making new Years Resolutions but this is one I just have to do this year. He has been sitting waiting patiently since the Pandemic began so time to actually look in the box and get started.

The kit comes with a comprehensive instruction booklet showing what each step should look like when completed.
Ok so Step One. Open box. Check contents. Done.👍

Step Two.
Shape wires to make body shape.   Gulp! Erm, think I need a drink.
I have a long way to go to get to step 34 below.
Watch this space.
I bought my kit from Little Oke Dolls but you can also get direct from World Of Wool.co.uk.

Happy New Year to you All
