The stamp I have used is by Woodware 'Cosmos Collection' and I stamped 3 times. The first image creates the die cut base and I then fussy cut elements of the flowers out several times from the further 2 images to create the decoupage effect of the flowers. All coloured using my Graph'it marker pens and a silver gel pen for the relief . The sentiment was part of the same stamp set. Flat diamonds from my stash. The butterfly is a Woodware punch. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4lf8JRX6F1OXASTSBb1zsbEZQL4R9v_9d94cMHl3vP_FSXo9VEkMFbaq2cQ1r6P9Il0RQ0GeeyBn06f0QjPN1Jn1GrUYOQvL40xwjdOGzwsT_Q5JvsM2fa58P2Dl0KBcXq7AfNvZf7vP1e2TvOn1JGmTeDl_wdV56ky69aSgrK-MHhXBx_cJGAI3Vw2Q/s466/3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="466" data-original-width="350" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4lf8JRX6F1OXASTSBb1zsbEZQL4R9v_9d94cMHl3vP_FSXo9VEkMFbaq2cQ1r6P9Il0RQ0GeeyBn06f0QjPN1Jn1GrUYOQvL40xwjdOGzwsT_Q5JvsM2fa58P2Dl0KBcXq7AfNvZf7vP1e2TvOn1JGmTeDl_wdV56ky69aSgrK-MHhXBx_cJGAI3Vw2Q/w480-h640/3.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />The next one is a Slim line card created using a Die cut called Radiant Rose lily by Tonic Studios. The stamp is a favourite of mine by Woodware 'Camellia' and whilst the pattern on the straws is actually of roses they matched perfectly. coloured with my promarkers and dusted with a light coating of pearlescent chalks. The card does stand up as I made the tent shape with a fold at the bottom. I did mean to take a sideways view showing that but I had sent the card to its recipient by the time I remembered to. <div>Entering this card into the following challenges.</div><div><a href="https://aperfecttimetocraft.blogspot.com/2024/03/a-perfect-time-to-craft-open-challenge.html" target="_blank">A Perfect Time To Craft #3</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.com/2024/03/march-2024-crafts-galore-encore.html" target="_blank">Crafts Galore #121</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://creationsinpink.blogspot.com/2024/02/challenge-67-anything-goes-in-mainly.html" target="_blank">Creations In Pink #67 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://thefourseasonschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/03/spring-season-march-2024-challenge.html" target="_blank">The Four Seasons</a> # Spring.</div><div><a href="https://lovetocraftchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/ltccb-79-anything-goes-ltccb-78-winner.html" target="_blank">Love To Craft #79 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://lovetoscrapchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/ltscb-166-anything-goes-ltscb-165.html" target="_blank">Love To Scrap #166</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/03/challenge-216.html" target="_blank">Patties Creations #216</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://www.stampingsensations.uk/2024/03/march-challenge.html" target="_blank">Stamping Sensations </a># Spring.</div><div><a href="https://www.welovestamping.co.uk/2024/03/march-challenge.html" target="_blank">We Love Stamping</a> # Femine.</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #660000; font-size: x-large;">❤</span></div><div><br /><div><br />

Found everything I needed in my stash so had a play and these are the results. Quite pleased with the results as this was the first time I had used modeling paste through a stencil and mica mists. I know , I know I am late to the party but one just can't rush these things!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR3HCYKdvn9Dc1qmCqc9IqU_uDMAQ8g5iDStSyoz8weGZ5M88pJ821V0MxhV7hD5qVTjQlZEMxoEyVP62y4YvlEyVzjdE40uN0DtusCdrxPw64agX9WR5aC854UU9sWytJvxK8kMqIE8CgalNZ_oQIlEO6rQHUiRNhtremdwAMvYZwwB70s1BQHo37owk/s448/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="448" data-original-width="333" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR3HCYKdvn9Dc1qmCqc9IqU_uDMAQ8g5iDStSyoz8weGZ5M88pJ821V0MxhV7hD5qVTjQlZEMxoEyVP62y4YvlEyVzjdE40uN0DtusCdrxPw64agX9WR5aC854UU9sWytJvxK8kMqIE8CgalNZ_oQIlEO6rQHUiRNhtremdwAMvYZwwB70s1BQHo37owk/w476-h640/1.JPG" width="476" /></a></div>I covered the boards first with Gesso as they are only cheap ones and then used a stencil and modelling paste. Left it overnight under a radiator and then used a paint brush to apply some green pearls tints. After that I ventured out into the garden and used a pink micca mists randomly to cover. The house was a chipboard piece that I covered in white paint and the frames were from where I had die cut the white strips (the kind man had sent me as packaging in my order) mentioned in a previous post. The florals/butterflies are stamps by Julie Hickey again stamped and fussy cut from the white strips. Buttons are from my button tin which once glued in place given a coating of wink of stella. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizKHjRn1J4BdPjWvYGI3HFvdiM1xH8Yup8TC2cdjphyphenhyphenjKD3cVPqqcJjd4CGM5Uv8oBAc5cDGfvU_7j-FLkfwp_w3378CNOEBKGt4W0AqJMgPgq2z1A7m1DPxGoaoVYAQPq7Li4b3VtYc2_6Sd2I78BKVNmO69YRA45BpLttbhy8sSPqydY498hPAxalOw/s441/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="441" data-original-width="338" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizKHjRn1J4BdPjWvYGI3HFvdiM1xH8Yup8TC2cdjphyphenhyphenjKD3cVPqqcJjd4CGM5Uv8oBAc5cDGfvU_7j-FLkfwp_w3378CNOEBKGt4W0AqJMgPgq2z1A7m1DPxGoaoVYAQPq7Li4b3VtYc2_6Sd2I78BKVNmO69YRA45BpLttbhy8sSPqydY498hPAxalOw/w490-h640/2.JPG" width="490" /></a></div>The two heart buttons started out in life as orange with white spots but I covered in gesso and sprayed with mica powder. The letters again cut from the white strips and painted pink and then wink of stella applied. I just need to find a couple of matching old picture frames to set them into so I will be having a rummage in the local charity shop for those. <br /><div><br /></div><div>Had several appointments to go to this past week but only managed to get to one of them as the rest were either cancelled at the last minute or rained off so have had to be rescheduled. There is so much surface water around at the moment. The bottom half of the garden is under water with just the stepping stones above it. Lots of flooding around the local roads too. Hope your all managing to stay dry. This time I turned my attention to 6 x 6 design paper pads and can't stop making these corner book marks. Really easy to make and also use up more of my white paper scraps for the embellishments. I read a lot so these are ideal for keeping my page marked but also when I give the books away to charity I pop one inside for the next reader to use. <div><br /></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzmbg9EU5sB9Qri2DiIdrV-aJic1DCLX9QPpSMt_BNG54DGMFpOiwSfg-XOdPUDyUnb49NAYOiWLV9ZIR5B_NB7TT8esx6Gj9fvZ8V3TSIjneQBtH0uRcOYNvQMeiE2s9fmydvCrw8F-MMq19uK1HPVIn-HXS5gcP15AwR0NMiP18BKrMfxqCh3ZGYng8/s387/DSCF6842.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="210" data-original-width="387" height="348" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzmbg9EU5sB9Qri2DiIdrV-aJic1DCLX9QPpSMt_BNG54DGMFpOiwSfg-XOdPUDyUnb49NAYOiWLV9ZIR5B_NB7TT8esx6Gj9fvZ8V3TSIjneQBtH0uRcOYNvQMeiE2s9fmydvCrw8F-MMq19uK1HPVIn-HXS5gcP15AwR0NMiP18BKrMfxqCh3ZGYng8/w640-h348/DSCF6842.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div>You can get 2 bookmarks per 6" square and the plain insert is a 3" square. This time it is the Butterfly Challenge which has now been going for 10yrs. having started on 12th February 2014. There is a challenge going on over on the blog<a href="https://butterflyspotchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/192-spin-butterfly-wheel-with-b-for.html" target="_blank"> Here</a> which still has 10 days left to run. I'm showing a card below which has all the colours on the wheel plus Borders and Best Wishes sentiment. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixgnyttnSK4oBdIRXBRhsibBXzI-nLWyHChhEmsno_3EbKcDO1ieas1GQ9oIMn_Drbx9goGRnuf5Oz43iSYtDof62qcsvzk8stGutBDYsT-sbNzMIhgsxWhAbBKSH8-QmiTmckxNi7V_0xbBbpe7S0qibfDEvuZAvF9mcGPZ2kxuWC8WrHiziZbC3RVbo/s333/1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="298" data-original-width="333" height="572" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixgnyttnSK4oBdIRXBRhsibBXzI-nLWyHChhEmsno_3EbKcDO1ieas1GQ9oIMn_Drbx9goGRnuf5Oz43iSYtDof62qcsvzk8stGutBDYsT-sbNzMIhgsxWhAbBKSH8-QmiTmckxNi7V_0xbBbpe7S0qibfDEvuZAvF9mcGPZ2kxuWC8WrHiziZbC3RVbo/w640-h572/1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>Again I have used up more of those white strips to create a border which I hand stitched together. I distressed the edges by tearing down each side of the strips before sewing . The stamp is by Imagination Crafts which I stamped directly onto the base card. Coloured with my promarkers and then attached the border frame over the top. The sentiment is on the inside of the card and is by Hobby Craft. <div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7dA8ti16OVnu_V8X07pU81sxvtBa7DNOdAuzgoMbAoCQL5c-_9nfcReqhhbt1QIWxDc5PRaI8Z6MPtEmd6ZGE5xprzUBAuLzZF5AYDCIeRMpf4syKiooIhPDZP2xzCJQGSGDGdM6l0a6ko7nnJeV-VvEfO1C0rlfaDQaw_V0Hhw3fIFopLj7QUmj3CzA/s326/2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="326" data-original-width="258" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7dA8ti16OVnu_V8X07pU81sxvtBa7DNOdAuzgoMbAoCQL5c-_9nfcReqhhbt1QIWxDc5PRaI8Z6MPtEmd6ZGE5xprzUBAuLzZF5AYDCIeRMpf4syKiooIhPDZP2xzCJQGSGDGdM6l0a6ko7nnJeV-VvEfO1C0rlfaDQaw_V0Hhw3fIFopLj7QUmj3CzA/w506-h640/2.JPG" width="506" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Hope you will find time to come on over and join in the fun with the Butterflies.</div><div>Entering into the following challenges:</div><div><a href="https://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.com/2024/02/challenge-552.html" target="_blank">I Love Promarkers #552</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://creativefingerschallengeblog.blogspot.com/2024/02/challenge-271.html" target="_blank">Creative fingers #271 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://scrapping4funchallenges.blogspot.com/2024/02/february-2024-anything-goes.html" target="_blank">Scrapping 4 Fun #232 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://polkadoodle.blogspot.com/2024/02/wk-6-card-making-paper-craft-challenge.html" target="_blank">Polkadoodles Craft Challenge wk6 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://lilpatchofcraftyfriends.blogspot.com/2024/02/223-paper-shelter.html" target="_blank">Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #223 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://alessandrasangels.blogspot.com/2024/02/challenge-79-challenge-78-winner-top.html" target="_blank">Allys Angels #79</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://craftingfromtheheartchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-9.html" target="_blank">Crafting from The Heart #9</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://lovetoscrapchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2024/01/ltscb-165-anything-goes-ltscb-164.html" target="_blank">Love To Scrap #165 </a>Anything goes,</div><div><a href="https://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/02/challenge-215.html" target="_blank">Patties creations #215</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://thecraftyaddicts.blogspot.com/2024/02/challenge-10.html" target="_blank">The Crafty Addicts #10</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://paperfundaychallenges.blogspot.com/2024/02/february-2024-challenge-62-anything.html" target="_blank">The Paper Funday Challenges #62 </a>Anything goes/ No patterned paper.</div><div><a href="https://kaartjes-inspiratie-challenges-blog.blogspot.com/2024/01/kic-start-uitdaging-189-stempels-op-je.html" target="_blank">Cards Inspiration Challenge #189</a> Stamps on your card. </div><div><div><div><span style="color: #660000; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #660000; font-size: x-large;">❤❤❤</span></div><div><br />

This is the resulting card.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg84Vmmg2YklxNx5m9jp4qf0X-LSnX7z8G7V1VDzcsAYsMjVCLg_C1260jFIv1h4FJlW5RAv9_4QUBN5t4jwFr9gUbvJiTGbv6ommRRCCXKwWv0AO96LIR9pv0YtF3IWhc1WeViVfIl792-RGdmPHsGJCkfkrusEmjhiNMhQXzqpxFXC198juYxiOBDuLo/s368/1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="293" data-original-width="368" height="510" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg84Vmmg2YklxNx5m9jp4qf0X-LSnX7z8G7V1VDzcsAYsMjVCLg_C1260jFIv1h4FJlW5RAv9_4QUBN5t4jwFr9gUbvJiTGbv6ommRRCCXKwWv0AO96LIR9pv0YtF3IWhc1WeViVfIl792-RGdmPHsGJCkfkrusEmjhiNMhQXzqpxFXC198juYxiOBDuLo/w640-h510/1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>I started off by just cutting four strips to form the angles of the frame and adhered them together.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5PG7Tz34MTwYJ-5E9tnOyO_E_NP3-cXkyZD2YTo9XSv5RbBicamT7WvkMqItOZltXl6Lay5sdxNjsAWD8orLTi-O86I0r8h8zXy62RlvEKw1UR6ZOFfmg1tjiXnIzV0V65H4e3nSbemH2NFtZR2kXOr_TcJuyMsSiGm1gLNDRiiP_Ba3lI6Rq80Aa6xA/s395/3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="313" data-original-width="395" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5PG7Tz34MTwYJ-5E9tnOyO_E_NP3-cXkyZD2YTo9XSv5RbBicamT7WvkMqItOZltXl6Lay5sdxNjsAWD8orLTi-O86I0r8h8zXy62RlvEKw1UR6ZOFfmg1tjiXnIzV0V65H4e3nSbemH2NFtZR2kXOr_TcJuyMsSiGm1gLNDRiiP_Ba3lI6Rq80Aa6xA/w400-h318/3.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>Stamped and coloured and used my score board to create the border to give the slightly bevelled edge.<div>The stamp is a freebie from a magazine and I used a pale pink and a pale yellow marker pens to colour the rose with green also for the leaves. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt8oHI-KHikO-_FqEjmefyRdUPHxzAMX89V81NGL9yJJYDyWuZ_mq4W12-_8U6RLH9MrnPd6f4Zz4PNRjYPTRScoK-0pkQYEP57Pn6wegIJlVt2JJOUZYxDre194uH1gCcCzp6ibcgZX9jrYuch8GN03GZMYJX9WaPnzX7d5hKCrw7sQnxFTUil0XU0wg/s325/4.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="262" data-original-width="325" height="323" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt8oHI-KHikO-_FqEjmefyRdUPHxzAMX89V81NGL9yJJYDyWuZ_mq4W12-_8U6RLH9MrnPd6f4Zz4PNRjYPTRScoK-0pkQYEP57Pn6wegIJlVt2JJOUZYxDre194uH1gCcCzp6ibcgZX9jrYuch8GN03GZMYJX9WaPnzX7d5hKCrw7sQnxFTUil0XU0wg/w400-h323/4.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>To make the frame look more real I distressed with pearlescent brown chalk and drew fine lines within the score lines to give the appearance of a wood effect and 3D dimension. Lastly I used a Silver gel pen to edge the roses and go over the lines .Mounted onto the front of a tented cardbase. I used more of the strips to raise up (instead of 3d sticky mounts) and added the sentiment and hearts to the open frame. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPk36mjZDDRHrOhKOQSoBR88zKduLslgcK5Bz8wdhhyphenhyphenpBdOzEP5l8vN6AM_euS5eOYo2ndG6ZquA3oFnP2CS1rWHLR7k7HW7T819MmvURhLm-9HbVqvh4ZGl-Wka2AC94IBju3k5LkSBKXFcXoBJl2eW_mKyA1rHoQbrTZf9Nqtg10e-ia1S5nixSCGO8/s398/5.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="313" data-original-width="398" height="315" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPk36mjZDDRHrOhKOQSoBR88zKduLslgcK5Bz8wdhhyphenhyphenpBdOzEP5l8vN6AM_euS5eOYo2ndG6ZquA3oFnP2CS1rWHLR7k7HW7T819MmvURhLm-9HbVqvh4ZGl-Wka2AC94IBju3k5LkSBKXFcXoBJl2eW_mKyA1rHoQbrTZf9Nqtg10e-ia1S5nixSCGO8/w400-h315/5.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>The sentiment is by Crafters Companion , four layers glued together and the hearts are two Woodware punches, again four glued together. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPEq0Sks1VVCajxvRANS6dfNTqeUexcCKkOWKAaSWqsMiqjumLZvChlfYrKyLu5gSmc54_0nMBIU0dpUKgbnoHDc-Mn3LtexYduNhOnLB9uYLUKdkHh3N5ZEgQwpTsijoQ69tqgIRtlWZ5Xb_o_Rvy6grLMlpgFOruDx69X9GVsYwBbtrLy2v3c3tu2BA/s335/2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="334" data-original-width="335" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPEq0Sks1VVCajxvRANS6dfNTqeUexcCKkOWKAaSWqsMiqjumLZvChlfYrKyLu5gSmc54_0nMBIU0dpUKgbnoHDc-Mn3LtexYduNhOnLB9uYLUKdkHh3N5ZEgQwpTsijoQ69tqgIRtlWZ5Xb_o_Rvy6grLMlpgFOruDx69X9GVsYwBbtrLy2v3c3tu2BA/w640-h638/2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>I am entering the resulting card into the following challenges:</div><div><a href="https://tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.com/2024/02/hearts-andor-flowers.html" target="_blank">Try it on Tuesday # </a>Hearts and/or flowers.</div><div><a href="https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2024/02/heartfelt-challenge.html" target="_blank">Double D Challenges # </a> Heartfelt.</div><div><a href="https://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/02/challenge-708-love-valentine.html" target="_blank">C.R.A.F.T. I started this blog on 29th January 2010 and little did I know then that I would still be here blogging away all these years later and with such a great bunch of friends. Thankyou for constantly being around. <div>So another card using up some those white scraps that I had previously die cut/embossed.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXXg1iT8QhAffVOoHFOCWV6GidXbMknOKNwlJkRAznL6cyC47E3Bfe1YElSktUXDEiv_c-XrDjqz4scd5cIPgNDlr7m-b-OGq78MHSxRco4M_0bpoeXOnjfDrF4pM8ZKw41bXcg9LQblvUJ6Hx6KUz_0A7HNEFdRzDw4GNaG12k-isIvgEISgpwiNfZBM/s328/1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="328" data-original-width="291" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXXg1iT8QhAffVOoHFOCWV6GidXbMknOKNwlJkRAznL6cyC47E3Bfe1YElSktUXDEiv_c-XrDjqz4scd5cIPgNDlr7m-b-OGq78MHSxRco4M_0bpoeXOnjfDrF4pM8ZKw41bXcg9LQblvUJ6Hx6KUz_0A7HNEFdRzDw4GNaG12k-isIvgEISgpwiNfZBM/w568-h640/1.JPG" width="568" /></a></div>The die cut frame is by Marianne Design 'Basic Shapes CR1334.' The rose stamp is by Clearly Besotted called 'Sweet Rose'. I am no good colouring with pencils but I do like to paint using different mediums. Here I have used distressed inks stamped onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and picked up with a fine paint brush. The rose was painted using a combination of fried brick and spiced marmalade with forest moss for the leaves and background. The embossed piece I placed back into the folder (linning back up with the pattern) but before closing back down I swiped the fired brick ink pad across the inside of the top layer of the embossing folder .This resulted in only the background picking up the colour and leaving the rose and leaves white. The folder is by Crafts-Too but has no name. I had lots of the distress ink colours still on my craft mat so I used several strips of white cards stock to mop them up. I used two strips up for the inside of the card along with the 'Woodware ' sentiment. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFHSWBf5y2Sdnz85VBT9OBi7dI5tG0SzUx7O_0Gdwbu4HYVzDLQHJzXrLzuUQ8QXbYXKzpdkec2rBK8WKLvk3RRU9Wv09Zjnvg0IbL2XKZiiiCDf0Y9JOqlaPsL6Ls6bFiLoZQLViyUCgPXzn9NFhqX77boPtrsH6X2XttMEzL_FY_q1iUoLdtEol8fe8/s268/DSCF4056.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="268" data-original-width="241" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFHSWBf5y2Sdnz85VBT9OBi7dI5tG0SzUx7O_0Gdwbu4HYVzDLQHJzXrLzuUQ8QXbYXKzpdkec2rBK8WKLvk3RRU9Wv09Zjnvg0IbL2XKZiiiCDf0Y9JOqlaPsL6Ls6bFiLoZQLViyUCgPXzn9NFhqX77boPtrsH6X2XttMEzL_FY_q1iUoLdtEol8fe8/w576-h640/DSCF4056.JPG" width="576" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Entering this card into the following challenges:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://creativefingerschallengeblog.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-270.html" target="_blank">Creative Fingers #270 </a>Anything goes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://polkadoodle.blogspot.com/2024/01/wk-4-card-making-paper-craft-challenge.html" target="_blank">Polk Doodles Craft Challenges wk4</a> Anything goes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://lilpatchofcraftyfriends.blogspot.com/2024/01/222-streamside-studios.html" target="_blank">Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #222</a> Anything goes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://daisychainchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-81-no-design-paper.html" target="_blank">Daisy Chain challenges #81 </a>No designer paper.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://www.simplyellibelle.com/2024/01/i-spy-with-my-little-eyehearts-andor.html" target="_blank">I Spy With My little Eye #11</a> Hearts and/or roses. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><br /></div>This is what was on my very first post back in 2010. It duly arrived in a box way too too big and had been stuffed down the side with not bubble wrap or those horrible styrofoam bits that go every where but very long strips of white /yellow/ card stock and also white shimmer card stock in 1", .50" and .25"thickness. Well what was I supposed to do but sit and chop it into 6" usuable strips!!!! I did manage to use four strips straight away as I was painting a rose (when the parcel arrived) with distress inks and swiped the cardstock with the residue left on my nonstick sheet. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLeVwzuJGvvh00IaFQk9ShOr_GWwgJxQh3ew7vhjme6RbbmJ-_GtsEWhMvDic-UPNlrvCf7ur2KY3cGgXT37Wst3lO5ngCQ8Fv1iuDN5Cu1OTcuhvnI54P-z7WSB_sg0p6aF5ulmdwWvERkxXIYNZInAZmc9YFXtJYwV08lFJR2_M6Yu5jJLs-R7oLxjw/s450/5.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="337" data-original-width="450" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLeVwzuJGvvh00IaFQk9ShOr_GWwgJxQh3ew7vhjme6RbbmJ-_GtsEWhMvDic-UPNlrvCf7ur2KY3cGgXT37Wst3lO5ngCQ8Fv1iuDN5Cu1OTcuhvnI54P-z7WSB_sg0p6aF5ulmdwWvERkxXIYNZInAZmc9YFXtJYwV08lFJR2_M6Yu5jJLs-R7oLxjw/w400-h300/5.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div>Striking while the iron was hot so to speak I made two cards and very nearly used up all of the yellow strips you can see above on the tray. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDnCy3A0REQdca2eqycV8xLi9Ya5fXLfaWvGYijD60Bd4tAVuQcXWAlcnc23wwbnBYWF89iv6-RCv05qHDzXB8lyGxstHf-bymk-7Pq1ZUM61oVDu2LFM3P5KGkj1dqQyDZm7FrkZZLA33IAPb-WgtlM6nAfD7mxk1tCNrDRiMaR9jhtKCb8AGXoywgYU/s500/1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="404" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDnCy3A0REQdca2eqycV8xLi9Ya5fXLfaWvGYijD60Bd4tAVuQcXWAlcnc23wwbnBYWF89iv6-RCv05qHDzXB8lyGxstHf-bymk-7Pq1ZUM61oVDu2LFM3P5KGkj1dqQyDZm7FrkZZLA33IAPb-WgtlM6nAfD7mxk1tCNrDRiMaR9jhtKCb8AGXoywgYU/w518-h640/1.JPG" width="518" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used a piece of scrap card and laid the yellow strips diagonally across . I have used up 2 of the frames previously die cut which are by Penny Black 'Antique Frame' The flower and sentiment are both freebies from a magazine coloured with my promarkers and a silver gel pen. So they all came out along with my embossing folders/die cut frames and regardless of the sizes of the papers they were all put to use until none were left.<div>Here are the results.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU4koryveLt_8JIkVKSDrGQecvwbIJ0cCPc7nPBR2QxadXTnAkscjo7Q5Sy29YgKo4U6JnDxlUxJmlZMBQ9BH5mSVAZk40_IFsDNMrHp1NwKjhZh-jjOrkMmYJGwZMSCUxgEyVX8HshF_pT-ThGSOAUmhunPcKkQHgmAJsXXquKIeM2rsKJ2rMIUaTW2I/s411/2.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="331" data-original-width="411" height="516" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU4koryveLt_8JIkVKSDrGQecvwbIJ0cCPc7nPBR2QxadXTnAkscjo7Q5Sy29YgKo4U6JnDxlUxJmlZMBQ9BH5mSVAZk40_IFsDNMrHp1NwKjhZh-jjOrkMmYJGwZMSCUxgEyVX8HshF_pT-ThGSOAUmhunPcKkQHgmAJsXXquKIeM2rsKJ2rMIUaTW2I/w640-h516/2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>I didn't worry if the paper fitted all of the embossing folder or not, in fact only using parts of the folders worked well in some cases. <div>Once I had gone through my stash of embossing folders I turned my attention to stacking die cut frames and as you can see below soon filled a tray up with them. This still left me with small strips so they were used up on die cut sentiments and stamped sentiments. The most time consuming part was writing on the back of each piece the name /maker of each one. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuSIagfHiYVBoAyIqsHw3awyZjebZ6cbTs9aOagH24tISUyJFZ2DWC-B3wZAjc0w2Z5Fcr3cVVXp16gfOB4WWQcQ49qb1WfXPn34XmtSbeUZDhFYgOqx7Qr21IRX6C7hhlYT1IpYTmmIAHUNAFJ0rzS8FVbuyj14b7rgfoQ7wTW7zXVIyU9W9rVfNliso/s450/3.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="337" data-original-width="450" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuSIagfHiYVBoAyIqsHw3awyZjebZ6cbTs9aOagH24tISUyJFZ2DWC-B3wZAjc0w2Z5Fcr3cVVXp16gfOB4WWQcQ49qb1WfXPn34XmtSbeUZDhFYgOqx7Qr21IRX6C7hhlYT1IpYTmmIAHUNAFJ0rzS8FVbuyj14b7rgfoQ7wTW7zXVIyU9W9rVfNliso/w640-h480/3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>Miss Mojo now has no excuse in telling me she hasn't a clue what to make</div><div>Here is the 1st card using part of an embossing folder and a die cut frame .</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj403I_KHGKa2Ggpq62EcxNoZoy8ToGFSUb3n-0RxqZRayvx49VOf9YXCQSwouI2X16Z-_6QqNdHSCvPnZMNyxS_PbN-iRayUFo7llgol_TSlhLD6rRPNXrIIv226JV_iMBx5_NfnbhifoPtb1OYUBYr3qiMAWY0d2iC-TYOoW20DvmpHG-1fkG_R98T8c/s329/1.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="327" data-original-width="329" height="636" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj403I_KHGKa2Ggpq62EcxNoZoy8ToGFSUb3n-0RxqZRayvx49VOf9YXCQSwouI2X16Z-_6QqNdHSCvPnZMNyxS_PbN-iRayUFo7llgol_TSlhLD6rRPNXrIIv226JV_iMBx5_NfnbhifoPtb1OYUBYr3qiMAWY0d2iC-TYOoW20DvmpHG-1fkG_R98T8c/w640-h636/1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div>I cut a base card 5.75 x 5.75 inches and used a design paper from a paper pad by The Works to cover.</div><div>The patterned paper was already cut in two strips ( pre- edged using a Martha Stewart Punch) and laying in my stash still unused from a previous project. The part embossed folder is by Sizzix "Scallop Lace Doily" and matched perfectly with the punch design. The embossed card /scallop die and sentiment were all different shades of white (which would have shown up ) but I got round that by using my Pearlescent Chalks to colour the flowers on the embossed piece, the scallop die and the sentiment strip in a matching blue to to pull them all in together with the design paper. The scallop die is by The Works, Design paper DoCrafts Papermania "Chatsworth Collection" linen texture. The flower stamp and sentiment were freebies from a magazine. I used Wow Embossing powder "Polished Silver" and a silver gel pen to highlight the dots and lace doily edging of the embossed card. Card came together quickly because I had all the elements to hand ready to go in the boxes instead of having to spend time searching each piece out with no clear idea in my head of what to make. </div><div><br /></div><div>Entering this card into the following challenges:</div><div><a href="https://craftrocketchallenges.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-110-use-embossing.html" target="_blank">Craft Rocket Challenges. #110 </a>Use Embossing.</div><div><a href="https://everybody-art-challenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/549.html" target="_blank">Everybody Art #549 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://alessandrasangels.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-78-challenge-77-winner-top.html" target="_blank">Allys Angels #78 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://beautifulblossomschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/beautiful-blossoms-challenge-anything.html" target="_blank">Beautiful Blossoms#13</a> Floral/optional Mood board.</div><div><a href="https://colorfuloptions.blogspot.com/2024/01/january-2024.html" target="_blank">Colourful Options</a> # Blue Lagoon.</div><div><a href="https://lovetocraftchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2024/01/ltccb-78-anything-goes-ltccb-77-winner.html" target="_blank">Love To Craft #78 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://papercraft-challenges.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-102-anything-goes.html" target="_blank">Paper Craft Challenges #102 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-214.html" target="_blank">Patties Creations #214 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://sheepski-designs-challenges.blogspot.com/2024/01/challenge-82-anything-goes.html" target="_blank">Sheepski Designs #82</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://crafterscafeblogchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/304-fancy-edges.html" target="_blank">The Crafters Cafe #304</a> Fancy Edges. </div><div><br /><div><br />

I hope you will all have a Happy and Healthy Year. </div><div>The Butterflies are now back on their blog with a new Challenge.</div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://butterflyspotchallenge.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">#191 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with A for Anniversary Card. </a></span></div><div>As usual I have made cards for your inspiration. The challenge is slightly different this year so please be sure to go on over and check it out. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjeu3rPm8TnexY-NpyF3WEzOoge-9ZWh2jtqs6PB_OR9MK7ITgIFsb6IO5lv-wheM5GNJ87M4zXb2WuldMiuQIFNGfR2G1v7MXtoCnzRMwLu2df-fvSKvPICP2SL_GVHSFIulO9M3KwNp5B2bVPP7Ff-8Qj4CcADVVgvz13ubGkUyCnndks27C97dYVok/s316/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="316" data-original-width="309" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjeu3rPm8TnexY-NpyF3WEzOoge-9ZWh2jtqs6PB_OR9MK7ITgIFsb6IO5lv-wheM5GNJ87M4zXb2WuldMiuQIFNGfR2G1v7MXtoCnzRMwLu2df-fvSKvPICP2SL_GVHSFIulO9M3KwNp5B2bVPP7Ff-8Qj4CcADVVgvz13ubGkUyCnndks27C97dYVok/w626-h640/1.JPG" width="626" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>For my 1st card I have used a section from a serviette which I attached to the front of the card with a double sided sticky sheet. I used a Happy Anniversary sentiment and masked off the A and replaced with a large wooden letter instead which I coloured in using a pro marker pen. A fairly simple card. I let the Wooden letter and the Butterflies on the serviette do the talking.</div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9R0wQq9CnPM_yWJzFms5Y-QVth_M6kviyfzhKIRIt7fNAhp0oa-9zDpRCOTddSmWqtZXKZhsp9iYuMw_sEAO0AKwvYbhEd24Ti-nRVOn3mpbe10GQOZ9y2Ak4fnvzDMYUCLz7U74H41gNYTBlzRTV3yy_IwkfaIedX5fM2TUpvwX-Yp_FqQVZl7iTDWI/s314/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="314" data-original-width="292" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9R0wQq9CnPM_yWJzFms5Y-QVth_M6kviyfzhKIRIt7fNAhp0oa-9zDpRCOTddSmWqtZXKZhsp9iYuMw_sEAO0AKwvYbhEd24Ti-nRVOn3mpbe10GQOZ9y2Ak4fnvzDMYUCLz7U74H41gNYTBlzRTV3yy_IwkfaIedX5fM2TUpvwX-Yp_FqQVZl7iTDWI/w595-h640/2.JPG" width="595" /></a></div><br /> For my second card I have used an Alphabet stamp by Clarity stamps and coloured in using my promarker pens. The aperture is cut using a die from The Works. I have highlighted round the edge using a silver gel pen. The butterflies are a small punch by tonic. I used acetate behind the oval aperture to give the card more strength.</div><div><br /></div><div>Having managed to somehow dodge Covid for 3 years it finally caught up with us over Christmas. </div><div>I caught it first and then The Doc went down 5 days later. It took my immune system 17 days before the tests showed negative for me. We are both left with hacking coughs and The doc says he still feels very groggy whilst I am using the furniture to hold onto as my balance is still completely off. We certainly do not want this again. Just thankful we had the vaccinations for this new strain or we would have been much worse. I had literally stood in two queues (post office where I was in the front of the line and the pharmacy picking up an IOU) for less than 2 mins in each whilst The Doc stayed out in the car hence me catching it first. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Stay Safe</div><div style="text-align: center;"> and Don't stand in any queues ! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #990000; font-size: large;">❤</span></div><br />

New challenge is up and running over on the<a href="https://butterflyspotchallenge.blogspot.com/2023/11/189-spin-butterfly-wheel-with-poppies.html" target="_blank"> Butterfly Blog</a>. Poppies with lots of panels on your card and here are the cards that I have made for inspiration. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgizQEYvMhd_E9bsQTqg2jD2v1YPZl-1aksquDH00M3E2uX3WQkCLfqm453QndmK0vrsKB7jDLsZTtk_5hRMSGvU0lWdu6ZbBJYdDMDGZ2K66Vo7PirDaACe-1qBIPZJhYCQD-4UUOsgZ31KeiKVQOwhNv1UWQsB_ZhPfGJranEC7pBlefVBV11oleeFx4/s323/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="323" data-original-width="276" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgizQEYvMhd_E9bsQTqg2jD2v1YPZl-1aksquDH00M3E2uX3WQkCLfqm453QndmK0vrsKB7jDLsZTtk_5hRMSGvU0lWdu6ZbBJYdDMDGZ2K66Vo7PirDaACe-1qBIPZJhYCQD-4UUOsgZ31KeiKVQOwhNv1UWQsB_ZhPfGJranEC7pBlefVBV11oleeFx4/w546-h640/1.JPG" width="546" /></a></div>I used A Woodware stamp ' Poppy ADS506' just repositioning the stamps to where I wanted them to be. coloured using my Promarkers and a gold gel pen. The sentiment is part of the stamp set. Butterflies are SU's 'Beautiful Wings' Die Set. So glad I purchased them when I did as they are no longer available. The dark green panels are coloured acetate sheets and the pale green is shimmer cardstock<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC9n6X8rX88k-uqC-z8XGrl6yaY3dTVr9PMuTnImz3tc8IvA-TVrcdKLmRUqcTNgcEEKcwb0w4e5Z7ngpbE1g_kHCdu85UAQxv-a4ev9Zh96H3kGRsEq60o3YXkp1S7TNuTrt2LkCV-1-3vXdfra8ssqg9hb7xlKreXa4engDgIbG0tZlDbTzvy0nv4JA/s326/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="326" data-original-width="193" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC9n6X8rX88k-uqC-z8XGrl6yaY3dTVr9PMuTnImz3tc8IvA-TVrcdKLmRUqcTNgcEEKcwb0w4e5Z7ngpbE1g_kHCdu85UAQxv-a4ev9Zh96H3kGRsEq60o3YXkp1S7TNuTrt2LkCV-1-3vXdfra8ssqg9hb7xlKreXa4engDgIbG0tZlDbTzvy0nv4JA/w378-h640/2.JPG" width="378" /></a></div><br /><div>This next card is a Digi image by Stitchy Bear Designs (a name from the past) called Poppy Black Work. Coloured with my trusty Promarkers. Sentiment is a stamp by Woodware and I used up the off cuts from the previous cards for the panels. I am on a mission to use everything up as it saves me having to put it all away again. </div><div><br /></div><div>The challenge is running until Tuesday 21st November.</div><div><br /></div><div> The stye under my right eye is still lingering on. Two people this week have told me of the old Wives Tale of rubbing over the rim of the eyelid with a gold ring. Has anyone else heard of this and does it work? I would be interested to hear.<br /><div><br />

Sometimes life especially health just has other ideas for you. So the news is the Butterflies are back and a new challenge is posted today on their <a href="https://butterflyspotchallenge.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">blog.</a> We are going Monochromatic and I have two cards for your inspiration. The first is a Joy Fold Card.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZuzsEvTpmUfAp2IBa7q2AW04Bw-B5CbP3y_HFFRjKTdMZlKkDk6dxKjQ-sTfxmsCReDI3XFbRnN-8FpPfe74GcNBMesbTMpwM7WZgw85PmeUjH_hq-Tr2fdYn5B8dWegmIYLjSgQ4IfRBfC-alVcL_FYdO7F_6rZgHctFG2pyenHJRV9gLzerylKRyiQ/s369/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="318" data-original-width="369" height="552" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZuzsEvTpmUfAp2IBa7q2AW04Bw-B5CbP3y_HFFRjKTdMZlKkDk6dxKjQ-sTfxmsCReDI3XFbRnN-8FpPfe74GcNBMesbTMpwM7WZgw85PmeUjH_hq-Tr2fdYn5B8dWegmIYLjSgQ4IfRBfC-alVcL_FYdO7F_6rZgHctFG2pyenHJRV9gLzerylKRyiQ/w640-h552/1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5PTzPEs1C3rtTPyGx-ZbXcHjDpODphHBT-kvyAr2BwZkBFjNKj7KOVXoodlXr8lzvkiBQ5PKQcBqAr2xOBFaQH2ghjZAgVz199iB3oVbCyLjoLkPRYojB7-q9cV5PRgHmpunbjI18APXho02ITzZ2EJg2SjPzi34gCAI4AHjRHp2I0i1yKvRRcr4NRv4/s446/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="231" data-original-width="446" height="332" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5PTzPEs1C3rtTPyGx-ZbXcHjDpODphHBT-kvyAr2BwZkBFjNKj7KOVXoodlXr8lzvkiBQ5PKQcBqAr2xOBFaQH2ghjZAgVz199iB3oVbCyLjoLkPRYojB7-q9cV5PRgHmpunbjI18APXho02ITzZ2EJg2SjPzi34gCAI4AHjRHp2I0i1yKvRRcr4NRv4/w640-h332/2.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>I have used design papers from a 6 x 6 pad from The Works. The lace is Dies cuts from Tattered Lace. <div><br /></div><div>I had lots of strips of the papers left over so I decided to stick them onto a sheet of card rather than just put away. Hope to see you in the butterfly garden. Still lots of flowers and butterflies out though we are in for another storm starting today in the UK till Saturday. A good time to be in our craft rooms methinks!!</div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuhW2AXuVyaZ-2wUYJzx8o0reJue-0BeFL1CjIOXyzjUHPOEvwRGklnKpcZXp-TfggQDN_st1n5SuUZy1ZkGaydW_4IrVWf3xJHfTInb-h6-HPHoS9DjBL6koD8X2yJEqsR0u4oHzpkgfzN8LPFKvUtBdA9QtjB_yGiKm2xjWdWAyhz3kM47RjJqVvkvQ/s436/DSCF6161.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="272" data-original-width="436" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuhW2AXuVyaZ-2wUYJzx8o0reJue-0BeFL1CjIOXyzjUHPOEvwRGklnKpcZXp-TfggQDN_st1n5SuUZy1ZkGaydW_4IrVWf3xJHfTInb-h6-HPHoS9DjBL6koD8X2yJEqsR0u4oHzpkgfzN8LPFKvUtBdA9QtjB_yGiKm2xjWdWAyhz3kM47RjJqVvkvQ/w640-h400/DSCF6161.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /> </div><div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #660000; font-size: large;">❤❤❤</span></div><div><br />

Well square it is but I went a bit further and made it into an Easel card. We were each given a lump of brown clay that we had to thump and need till all the air bubbles were out of it and then roll out to a uniform thickness. There were several design on show and I choose to make a shape with a wavy top edge and to over lap where it met around the base.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNyavlFKeMSiI5r3dHy95ryeFhxjthVDnSdlbOduEEdub_MK4x5dU4kKHfWGBjsgXpS-WbtGrCcHOod2wWdoRKNAIONRfCdYnEgOxAHKhZy31rs1737-rHTjJfQKRWaQ8VWPs3gKCfM0ZW0SlNohoAs0K1_EhsAXsZV_w5_8DrnduoPtUP72ePbnFI47Y/s600/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="450" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNyavlFKeMSiI5r3dHy95ryeFhxjthVDnSdlbOduEEdub_MK4x5dU4kKHfWGBjsgXpS-WbtGrCcHOod2wWdoRKNAIONRfCdYnEgOxAHKhZy31rs1737-rHTjJfQKRWaQ8VWPs3gKCfM0ZW0SlNohoAs0K1_EhsAXsZV_w5_8DrnduoPtUP72ePbnFI47Y/w480-h640/1.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><div>Once we had out shapes cut out we then pressed fresh flowers and leaves into the clay to leave impressions. I chose to work with lavender and instead of using leaves used a stylus to cut grass stalks around the base. The dragon fly was a stamp pressed into the clay. Next came the fun part of painting our pieces. I had a small piece of the clay over (as I hadn't made feet for my vase) and made a small plaque instead. They then went off to be fired and glazed and I picked mine back up this afternoon. </div><div>Not sure where the plaque is going but the vase is on my kitchen window ledge and filled with fresh lavender from the garden. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTpnJH5EPuET71SfV_ToIJb7p-Y4KB7YA2QxUNm04rZn1gn_16gcbg_MIxtyBacZ2MMoH2iJ0FkDZbTCh-voj2EmF4zKCN7N8QRJUxgxgtUDiHpUCnLSpO9d8GI-jtDEImh0ThrYHTqkh_L8LBGXdOFnTBezRsdE1RvoI3L1WwpXoBgTydZcRA8X90Emk/s504/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="504" data-original-width="349" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTpnJH5EPuET71SfV_ToIJb7p-Y4KB7YA2QxUNm04rZn1gn_16gcbg_MIxtyBacZ2MMoH2iJ0FkDZbTCh-voj2EmF4zKCN7N8QRJUxgxgtUDiHpUCnLSpO9d8GI-jtDEImh0ThrYHTqkh_L8LBGXdOFnTBezRsdE1RvoI3L1WwpXoBgTydZcRA8X90Emk/w444-h640/2.JPG" width="444" /></a></div><br /><div>I managed to arrange/wring out a Dr's appointment from the receptionist who tried her best to fob me off with all manner of excuses as to why I couldn't have one. That was the week that was again. I did manage to get out in the garden on Friday but Saturday it rained all day so had a play in my Craft Room instead. Again I had not seen it done with circles before. The design paper was a freebie from making Cards magazine Aug 2014. (I'm gradually working my way up to the current stuff !). It isn't double sided so I just coloured with a promarker where I didn't want any white showing. I used a small circle die by Julie Hickey for the folding. The stalk and leaf is a part of a die set from Sizzix that I chopped about to get the positioning of the flowers right. Sentiment is in a stamp set from Uniko. Sequins from my stash.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTwg1bx5I4PDXsH8o06-qhpXHpzO6ypCLVy7LhsDiaNravetULZ8y-ZmiGuTCyCFQlGpqSzAWfZE7G0Ii8OZGXWhiIvWvI66sS2tQSx5iL7kY9upFy-EChTza7v-fFc3u9h5FgxaMTRe5vaO1oBnz5shWBT99CQy2GwfxUz2mxikAR1e0Cv3KU-4fz4UI/s322/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="322" data-original-width="272" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTwg1bx5I4PDXsH8o06-qhpXHpzO6ypCLVy7LhsDiaNravetULZ8y-ZmiGuTCyCFQlGpqSzAWfZE7G0Ii8OZGXWhiIvWvI66sS2tQSx5iL7kY9upFy-EChTza7v-fFc3u9h5FgxaMTRe5vaO1oBnz5shWBT99CQy2GwfxUz2mxikAR1e0Cv3KU-4fz4UI/w540-h640/1.JPG" width="540" /></a></div>Entering this card into the following challenges:</div><div><a href="https://aperfecttimetocraft.blogspot.com/2023/07/a-perfect-time-to-craft-open-challenge.html" target="_blank">A Perfect Time To Craft #7</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.com/2023/07/july-2023-challenge-113-crafts-galore.html" target="_blank">Crafts Galore Encore #113 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://letscreatechallenges.blogspot.com/2023/07/challenge-197-ag-add-flowers.html" target="_blank">Lets Craft & Create Challenge #197</a> Anything goes /add flowers.</div><div><a href="https://thecraftyaddicts.blogspot.com/2023/07/challenge-03.html" target="_blank">The Crafty Addicts #3</a> Anything goes.</div><div><br /></div><div>Fun and games at the hospital last Monday. Both The Doc and I had blood tests booked for one after the after. Machine for booking in worked fine with hubby but didn't like me at all so consequently the nurse wasn't expecting me. Hubby let her know I was waiting outside and the response was that the machine is always breaking down and not working properly. Hubby is still waiting for his results. Mine came through on a text on Wednesday and not at all what I was expecting to get. Told to go on a link and read all about what I have now got and then to go on another link and tell the Dr my thoughts!! Not, " I have made an appointment for you to come into the surgery". I don't have a smart phone and the link when I tried it on my computer crashed it. Took me nearly 2hrs to get pc back up and running. So now I have to do battle with the receptionist (at the surgery) to try and get an actual face to face appointment to discuss the Meds they want to put me on which are not compatible (found that out reading up on pc.) with ones I am already taking! Moral of the story don't get sick and go buy a Smart phone!!<br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: x-large;">❤</span></div><div><br /></div><div><br />

Stamped the sentiment onto black card in white and heat embossed before adding to the front of the card with 3d pads. Added the little heart out cuts to the top of the card. I see that I have one more so must have nabbed the extra one from somewhere!!! Also added some crystal gems to the flower centers. <div>Nearly half way through July already and haven't a clue where time is going. I did have a hospital appointment booked for October but got texted yesterday that it had to be cancelled and I would get a new date in due course. Had waited 18 months for that one. Such is life. <br /><div>Entering into the following challenges:</div><div><a href="https://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2023/07/sweet-stampin-flowersblooming-beautiful.html" target="_blank">Sweet Stampin</a> # Flowers/ blooming beautiful.</div><div><a href="https://lilpatchofcraftyfriends.blogspot.com/2023/07/209-patties-creatins.html" target="_blank">Lil Patch of Crafty Friends</a> #209 Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://mmmchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2023/07/204-birthday.html" target="_blank">Make My Mondays #204</a> Birthday.</div><div><a href="https://alessandrasangels.blogspot.com/2023/07/challenge-72challenge-71-winner-top.html" target="_blank">Allys Angels #72</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.com/2023/07/july-2023-challenge-113-crafts-galore.html" target="_blank">Crafts Galore Encore #113</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://craftycalendarchallenge.blogspot.com/2023/07/july-challenge-anything-goes.html" target="_blank">Crafty Calendar </a># Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://die-cut-divas.blogspot.com/2023/07/happy-purrthday-with-my-favorite-things.html" target="_blank">Die Cut Divas</a> # A Birthday.</div><div><a href="https://letscreatechallenges.blogspot.com/2023/07/challenge-197-ag-add-flowers.html" target="_blank">Lets Craft and Create Challenge #197 </a>Anything goes/add flowers.</div><div><a href="https://lovetocraftchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2023/07/ltccb-75-anything-goes-ltccb-74-winner.html" target="_blank">Love To Craft #75</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://www.stampingsensations.uk/2023/07/july-challenge.html" target="_blank">Stamping Sensations #14 </a>Summer Flowers.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> <br /><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #660000; font-size: large;">❤</span></div><br />

Whilst looking through all my stash for a stamp that I knew I had but couldn't remember where I had put it I found a box of cards that I had made at various workshops and never shown. This is one of them.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm61XnhMU5xebEQM9611sJymxxVKverIriPWjDPemfUfiSfaGTiRA7gcNRUhcXuLUDZsU0C-UJjRWbxkEPr5XuJEW4BV4ODu9REOVLxPablrovisQPT_2W1kkUCiUBo51FibPbBHU973vjKQE-78DB_tl-Sb2qvo0CEQJM8tgUX4Xu1Dg0KGGbMp4qmLY/s470/07.10.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="470" data-original-width="387" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm61XnhMU5xebEQM9611sJymxxVKverIriPWjDPemfUfiSfaGTiRA7gcNRUhcXuLUDZsU0C-UJjRWbxkEPr5XuJEW4BV4ODu9REOVLxPablrovisQPT_2W1kkUCiUBo51FibPbBHU973vjKQE-78DB_tl-Sb2qvo0CEQJM8tgUX4Xu1Dg0KGGbMp4qmLY/w526-h640/07.10.JPG" width="526" /></a></div>Would have been made at a Julie Hickey workshop at least 5yrs ago using Julie Hickey stamps. The background is made from a piece of card smooshed into Distress Oxide inks and then flicked with water. I stamped the flower on top, cut out and then raised up with 3d pads onto slightly larger black card which I adhered directly to the card blank. A larger thin die cut frame was also adhered to give the illusion of a picture frame. I stamped the sentiment onto the rest of the smooshed card and die cut the banner. Finished off with gems and a small piece of ribbon. <div>I eventually did find the said missing stamp (4hrs later) after I had looked in every box and cupboard twice and then thought to just check one more place and of course there it was! I know. Should have gone to Spec Savers. </div><div><br /></div><div>Entering into the following challenges:</div><div><a href="https://kraftychickschallenge.blogspot.com/2023/07/krafty-chicks-challenge-671-stamp-act.html" target="_blank">Krafty Chicks #671</a> Stamp Act.</div><div><a href="https://aperfecttimetocraft.blogspot.com/2023/07/a-perfect-time-to-craft-open-challenge.html" target="_blank">A Perfect Time to Craft #7</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://craftinghappinesschallenges.blogspot.com/2023/07/july-144-anything-goes-every-type-of.html" target="_blank">Crafting Happiness #144 </a>Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://www.simplyellibelle.com/2023/07/ellibelles-crafty-wednesday-july.html" target="_blank">Ellibelles Corner #</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://letscreatechallenges.blogspot.com/2023/07/challenge-197-ag-add-flowers.html" target="_blank">Lets Craft and Create Challenge #197 </a>Anything goes/add flowers.</div><div><a href="https://mixitupchallenge.blogspot.com/2023/07/miucb-66-anything-goes-optional.html" target="_blank">Mix It Up #66 </a>Anything goes/ optional aperture.</div><div><a href="https://thecraftyaddicts.blogspot.com/2023/07/challenge-03.html" target="_blank">The Crafty Addicts #3</a> Anything goes.</div><div><a href="https://unicornchallenge.blogspot.com/2023/07/89-no-design-paper.html" target="_blank">Unicorn Challenge #89</a> No Design Paper. </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: x-large;">❤</span></div><div><br /><div><br />

First off though can anyone tell me where June went to? One minute its was the 3rd of the month and now it's the 30th! Don't even have the excuse of having been away on holiday either just in the garden enjoying the hot weather we have been having. Raining today so I'm back in my craft room now that it is cooler and determined to post at least once more before July pops up. </div><div><br /></div><div>I have been busy looking at origami tutorials and making lots of shapes .
