"Have you seen what Your 2 elves have done to the Tree in the back garden" ?
I tell you I hot footed it/slid down the bannister rail like a skid pan with visions of The Doc's Chain Saw left unattended in the garden shed before my eyes.
Of course I had let them back indoors the night before but it was dark so I saw nothing untoward.
This is the sight that beheld my eyes from the kitchen window.
They had found a box of old baubles in my craft shed and had you have been a bird in the garden yesterday you would have spied the two decorating the said tree.

What a lovely surprise! Nothing broken, no cats or mice harmed! And a beautiful decorating job. Perhaps they are learning to be less trouble...........
Such a wonderful sight to behold. L'th and accomplice/assistant did a very good thing! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. XO

Love it, although I have feeling that you and Doc may take turns encouraging those elves. ;-)
See? A lesson in consequences is a very good thing! Look how sweet they can be when their bits are frozen!! And look what a fine sense of color and balance they have, too!! Applause!! Hugs, Darnell
Good thing for your house that these Elves have a very well developed decorative skill. Love the picture of your pretty garden, and it looks just lovely with the 'Christmas tree' in all its glory! Santa will enjoy it on his stopover! TFS & Merry Christmas. Hugs too.
I can't tell if you like it or not, but I think this is so adorable! Maybe these two elves are turning over a new leaf. Then again, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Tomorrow is another day haha!

They have turned over a new leaf (pardon the pun). The tree looks so festive and cheerful. What a kind thing they did this time. Your garden is such a beautiful, peaceful place to sit and relax.
