Sunbonnet Sue.

Here is the tag I have made for the April Swap on The Altered Paper. Theme is Easter/April Showers. Hope my partner Jenny likes it. Also entered it for Tag Tuesday as the theme was Easter Too.
Sunbonnet Sue is paper pieced and the flowers are made from snippets of left over white card which I have cut using various small punches and dies. All painted with pots of luminarte paint. (I am so in love with these little pots.) If you look closely you can just see the "Wally" shrink plastic button peeking out amongst the flowers. (Bit of a clue. The button is the same colour as Sue's bodice!!!
As everything is snippets of this and that I am entering into Di's Snippets challenge.

Love this tag - and I just found Wally, need to wipe my nose print from the screen though :)

Super colours and paper piecing you used, and those Luminarte painted flowers are fabby - are they a bit like Twinkling H2O paints I wonder? I have a box full of those and some are really vibrant colours.

Have a safe trip! We'll watch for the bushes rustling, and the carrots will be dutifully shared out!

Brilliant tag, I love the paper piecing, and a brilliant way to use snippets.

To answer your question on Stickaroos, most are made by Penny Black, they are self adhesive pictures (already coloured) of their rubber stamps. They are brilliant for quick and easy cards.
I have quite a few under PB stickaroos on my blog if you take a peek, or just google PB stickaroos. I buy them from Sir Stampalot or The Glitterpot. But they are widly avaiable.

Thank you somuch for your kind comment on my blog.

Very pretty tag you have made there Mrs A. I love shrinkplastic but don't use it very often! Do you remember we used to shrink crisp bags in the over? Happy Days. The bags they make now don't do it!
Do you find that even though you are using your snippets the pile doesn't ever go down? Or is it just me?

Mrs. A....what a sweet tag. You are quite the talented one.... I've gotta agree with Sam....my pile of snippets never gets smaller. What's with that! Off I go, tomorrow I'm spending the day crafting with a friend...we're going to color with her new pens...

I reckon Blogger has been up to his naughty tricks again. I was 100% sure I had left you a comment, but it is not here. Anyway, your sunbonnet is so creative and perfect for the season, and your basque is suitably risque. I did find the little Wally button. I really enjoyed those skipping games this week with that long rope. We must all do it again next week. Thank you for your visit to my snippets, and I have to admit that we did buy a modest stock of second class stamps a month or more ago. So I can send the cards this year without giving in to that profiteering. See you in the playground later this week. xx Maggie
