Eden

I started this painting back on 19th January and finally finished it last Thursday 29th March.
A larger canvas this time and flat so this will be off to the picture framers next week to be framed before it can be hung.

Again I have taken it in stages. The oil takes quite a while to dry.

I have simply called it Eden.
Not intirely happy with the water but as I have signed it now it is finished. See what you think.
I have made a start on my next one which is a mountain scene and lake.
Show casing this on 1st Unique. Hand made Mondays.

That is one stunning painting ... from someone who can't draw a straight line with a rule I admire your talent so much!
Thanks for commenting on my Titanic tags ... alas, your three shiny beads and best sparkly diamond are quite safe as I didn't use a stamp at all but scanned and printed out a photo' from one of my many, many Titanic books. I LoVe seeing your work so will be back soon! (ps: sorry it took me a while to get back to you ... had one of "those" weeks) Love Debbie xXx

Please completely ignore all the drivel about the Titanic in my previous message ... you can tell it is Monday morning, can't you? Brain is kinda awake but has yet to engage!
The stamp to which you refer is, of course, the zig-zag sewing effect one ... silly, silly Debbie! Your beads and diamonds are still safe though ... I've had this stamp, unused, for quite a number of years now but I think it was an Anna Griffin one from QVC but am not dreadfully sure. Love Debbie xXx

I am so impressed with your talent shown in this picture. I have never tried oils, as I was basically thrown out of the art class at school. By the way, I use plain straightforward mature Cheddar cheese in my cheese scones. have a great week. xx Maggie

WOW . . . Mrs A . . . you have been hiding your light under the bushes by the duck pond.

I have only just spotted your beautiful painting. How on earth did I miss it. It is really lovely, What a tallent. The way the eyes are drawn in at the centre and taken up through the stark trees into the sun. I do envy you your ability with oils, it is a medium I can't seem to get to grips with, prob. because I grew up on watercolours.
