Here are just a few of them before I took to the post office for sending off. Must admit they do look rather festive.
Card No2Now I don't normally use the same image twice in a session of card making but I so enjoyed colouring this digi stamp up that I made an exception to my own rule and did it again using a different colourway which totally changes the appearance. Sentiment is a Tonic Die called modern Merry Christmas. I cut four times and layered up for depth. The frame Die is by Crafts Too 'Rectangle Stitch Hole'
Right I'm off to try and find an elusive home Grocery slot. We drove past our local Sainsbury on Sunday morning whilst out hand delivering last of cards and the car park was heaving. We didn't stop!!!
Your envelopes look so cozy, very festive! Good that you used the stamp twice because they look totally different.
Beautiful cards ValeryAnne xxx
What a fabulous idea, like you I cut most of my own base cards and they are rarely standardised but as lots go off t TV I don't need to worry about envies. And the surplus then goes into often oversized envies, so will take a lead from you.
Hope you get that delivery slot, I managed to get a Sainsbury one for 21st. Booked that about three weeks ago as someone said if you subscribe to their delivery service you get slots available earlier and they were right. I think I paid about £35 for six month so at £6 a delivery well average worth it.
Fabulous collection of festive envelopes and two super front door cards. Good luck with the delivery slot - hens' teeth come to mind 😒. Daughter couldn't even get a click and collect slot anywhere.
Those envelopes are fabulous and will definitely look pretty and festive coming through the letterbox, much better than a plain white one. Good luck with a time slot, I gave up on Sainsbury's earlier this year and won't be going back, shame they've lost loyal customers during this heinous year x
Hi Mrs A that is a fabulous idea to make the envelopes they do look very festive. I am very impressed that you made 85. The cards are gorgeous too. Good luck with the shopping slot the ones for ASDA ran out in mid November. Take care. Hugs Jackie
You have made a great work making all the envelopes! They look very festive! I too rarely make standard size cards, but usually I put them directly in the hands of the recipients or inside a parcel.
Two lovely cards as well, that door looks so beautiful
Your festive envelopes look fabulous Valery Anne, well done for using up the free papers this way. I love the cards that you've made too.
Supermarkets are quieter if you are near them before 12 noon ;) Your basket of envelopes looks really pretty and I like the two cards with the same image x
The envelopes are lovely and a great way to use up papers - the envelope for my card was very festive - thank you!
We've had our shopping delivered for several years so do get a priority slot - even so, I need to book in a morning or there is nothing left.
Love your basket filled with your beautiful envelopes. I was so happy to receive one of them.
Your 2 cards are so pretty!
Hello Valery, love the envelopes, gorgeous variety of papers and your two cards are absolutely beautiful.
Good luck with the food ordering, I'll go into town for the fresh food at Marks but I'll be early and hopefully in and out, kep safe, Kate x
What a fun thing to make your envelopes from papers you have collected. They are so pretty and what a delight to whoever receives them. AND, a wonderful way to use the papers and bring joy to someone else. The cards you made look so different even using the same image. Amazing what color and matting can do to change the look of these lovely cards.
What a wonderful festive post and those handmade envelopes where sure worth the effort...x. Both cards look fabulous and what a stunning image x. Good luck with finding a shopping slot x.
Fabulous cards, that door digi is a beauty! Your envelopes looks so pretty and festive, what a great idea!
Good luck with the grocery slot!
Beautiful cards and loving the festive envelopes.
Mrs A you are a star!! I have just decided I need to make my cards to fit the envelopes I have, cos I have lots of envelopes, but the cards are usually too wide/short/tall etc. Love the idea of using up some of those freebie papers and your envelopes do look delightful. Hugz
What a lovely festive post, how lovely to have one of those envelopes through the post - I bet the Postie enjoyed them too.
I struggle sometimes with getting the right envelopes so this is a great idea.
Lovely cards too.
Wow, they definitely look festive! That's a lot of work to make all of those envelopes, but the are so pretty! Awesome job! Your front door cards are gorgeous, so welcoming!
The evelopes look fabulous even if they were a toil of a pleasure, Tip, start earlier next year then you can just use second class stamps. Cards are great too.
The cards are gorgeous and as for the envelopes, they are a 'Wow'! They must have taken ages and such patience!! Hugs, Carol S.xx
Very festive envelopes Mrs A. I quite often get presents wrapped in nice quality paper that I hate to throw out - think I've found a recycled use for them now! I bet it puts a smile on the faces of the mail staff that see these envelopes.
I see there is no sign of the mischievous elf this year. Perhaps he got quarantined at the border? You must be appreciating the silence.
What a great idea, loving those envelopes ValeryAnne! Your door cards are just gorgeous too.
How lovely to see your hand made envelopes you always go that extra mile and just love the two cards with the same image coloured so beautifully too! Hopefully all done and dusted as well as posted take care x
Two super cards Mrs A and what a brilliant idea to make your colourful envelopes. xx
As one of the lucky recipients of your handmade , festive envelopes, I love the idea of turning freebies into envelopes. I have been making Christmas cards all year round, but am woefully behind at sending them this year. So I may end up making Happy New Year cards to send for those that are too late to arrive by Christmas. More reasons to craft are always a good thing.
Your Christmas Door cards are both beautiful and it really is amazing how different they look, just by changing the colors.
Have a merry Christmas, and stay well through the holiday season!
Oh wow, such cheery envelopes, they look fabby. No more shopping for me either now, I went today and thats me done, tough if I have forgotten something!!! Hazelxx
Your cards and envelopes are wonderful! Well done for using all those papers. Not sure I would have the patience!
Catching up! These envelopes look fab and I love the idea. Must start now for next year... x
