Kraft Card

It's a New Year and time for the girls in the Christmas Card Club to show our first cards. I got well and truly caught out as I had printed off the list of who was doing what and when,  but one lady left the group so her place was re taken by Kate who has asked to use Kraft Card. Now I must admit that kraft card is the last thing I go to in my stash so I was a bit flummoxed as to what I could do.  I had already made the cards for this challenge using the other ladies theme of Deer/s and only spotted the change because I was checking it was for this Sunday!  The two I had made quickly I changed the images onto Kraftcard and embossed in Gold powder. It really shows up on the cards but not in the photo's which I had to take in the bathroom this morning  under the Velux window.

Card 1
Paper is from The Works and the stamp is by Nellie Snellen CT028 Two Reindeer. I am trying to use stamps that I have bought and not yet used and this is one from last year. I used Wow embossing powder and the stars are stickers from my haul. I have been very good and finished all the insides off on each card. You can't see the inside but I used a sentiment from Dovecraft.

Card 2
I had this sunrays backing sheet left over from a project  and thought it would go perfectly with another stamp not used before. This one is by Stamperia.WTK035. Doesn't seem to have a name.  Embossed onto a mottled pattern kraft card which worked well.  It is a nice big stamp 7x11cm.

Card 3
I looked in my odds box of christmas papers and found two scraps of different red designs (they look as if they clash with the red cardstock but IRL they are perfect together) and made another sunrays backing sheet. This time I used a sentiment from Dovecraft on the same mottled Kraft card as above.  You can see the mottling a bit clearer here.  Wow gold embossing powder and sticky spot from stash.
Finished off inside with another sentiment from Dovecraft.
Card 4
Another look in my  christmas papers and I found some odd sheets of LOTV papers  which complimented the kraft card . The stamp is by Nellie Snellen  CT030 Cosily Snow Cottage. Embossed with Wow gold powder.  Adhered to red cardstock and then raised up with leftover strips of card instead of 3D pads.  The pop of red brightens the card up considerably.  Gold star from my stash.

Card 5
Using up more LOTV paper and another stamp by Nellie snellen CT019 Idyllic Winter Scene. Again popped up on a red border of cardstock and stamped onto Kraft card.  Gold dots are stickers from stash.
Card 6.
Was meant to be shown as card two but I haven't worked out how to delete a card and move it whilst in  post it mode other than delete the post and start again. (Does anybody know?)  Spotty paper is the reverse side of the reindeer paper  The Reindeer stamp thi time is from Tattered Lace by Stephanie Weightman and came in a magazine set.  Gold embossed and the gold spot a sticker from my stash.
Hope I recouped myself Kate with no black marks apart from being so late in the day posting.

Hugs
Hang in there.
The Vaccine is on it's way.
Until then
Stay Safe.

A really impressive start to your Christmas crafting Mrs A- especially as you weren't expecting to have to use the kraft. The designs/colour and stamps are lovely- I really like the look of the gold embossing on the kraft- never thought of trying that combination! I bet it looks fabulous IRL- getting a decent photo at the moment is a nightmare- it's been pretty dark all day here for some time now!
Happy New Year- and yes...bring on the vaccine!!
xx

You've really gone all out with the kraft card - seems an odd choice for Christmas cards but it certainly works.

Happy New Year Valerie-Anne. Well you sure have excelled yourself with those bonnie cards. Love the introduction of colours too. Mine is just boring craft card and distressed with Gathered twigs. No blue on it at all. Funny how sometimes screens change things. Hugs Rita xxxx

You have certainly been busy Mrs A. They are all lovely cards but I do particularly like the sunray backgrounds as they are a great way to use up smaller pieces of paper (and like most crafters I have heaps of those!)
I have found that right clicking on the image that you want to remove from a post and then clicking cut works. Then I just do a normal add image where I want to add it. I have had to do it a few times when I clicked in the wrong place and it didn't insert it in the right place. Hope that works for you.

These are gorgeous! Especially love the gold embossed winter scenes. The backing papers work very well too. I tend to forget about using kraft so this is a good reminder of how great it looks.

Hello Valerie. Goodness Gracious, I'd say that was a stunning recovery to a change of plan on the CCC. Each card is amazing, and I love how you've combined the 'kraft commission' with all the lovely papers. Wonderful designs, and I especially loved the combination of the DP deer with the kraft deer. Wishing you & Doc a marvelous & healthy New Year, and hope maybe I can get back in the CCC if allowed. Just not quite ready as yet! Hugs & TFS. Mary H.
