Nativity.

Time once more the girls in the Christmas Card Club to show our latest cards. Gramaragret set the theme of Nativity and I have 2 cards to show that are from recycled shop cards I was sent last year.  I wanted to do something a little different other than just mount onto new card so have made a Tri Fold Card for each one.

Card One.
Made using Navy card stock. The banner is a Clearly Besotted Clear stamp 'Basic Banners'. Stars and sentiment from my stash.  This card is 5.5" square so I needed to add a further panel as once the card is opened out flat it is 14.5". The recycled card is attached to the last panel which folds into the middle.
Front panel has a circle die cut so that the card shows through. Finally you open the card up and there is room to place your greeting inside.I stamped the banner in versamark and embossed with Wow Gold powder and fussy cut out.

Card Two.
Made using Rich Teracotta card stock and the same method. Recycled card was slightly larger so the depth of card is 5.75  and the width still  5.5"

I am slowly sending out the Goodie Bags to the winners of the Spot The Difference games played over christmas.  Taking time as though the Click and Drop is brilliant it does take time to set each address up, weigh the packages correctly and then  print off the labels. I am also trying to ensure the parcels are in quarantine here for 72 hrs before taking to the post box.  I will email each of you individually to say when your goodie bag has been dispatched. I know some have already been received.

I will be posting the answers to  the The Birdie Word Search on Monday and a new one will be up and running then too. We have done the birds so it will be time for the Garden Flowers. I actually have 87 on my list but we shall see how many I can endeavour to fit into the grid!

Great cards and putting the sentiment banner across the top of the cut out is a brilliant idea.

What fabulous Christmas cards Mrs A - wonderful upcycling! And such clever designing of the card itself as well. As you say, Click and Drop is laborious (as I did mention) - but so worth it. Have you set up an address book for future use? I did that for all my overseas Christmas cards rather than have to re-do them! Am unsure about the Grand Draw winners though as I don't like to keep addresses longer than necessary - GDPR and all that.

Stay safe - no word here about jabs.

The cards you used to recycle are simply beautiful. I can see why you wanted to reuse them. The way you used them is fantastic. I love the folds and the touch of gold is so elegant.

Oh wow!! Such great way to upcycling commercial cards!! Love the tri-fold with the circle front panel display idea! I have to remember this, as I have a lot of them, very unused, in a big box. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Mrs A

What wonderful cards!

Great up-cycling .. .. .. far better than just putting them in the re-cycling bin .. .. .. which I often wonder what they do with!!

Hope all is well and you had a good weekend.

Love Jules xx
