Christmas Greenery.

Well that was certainly the week that was. Two different accounts hacked on the same day but what a difference in the way both companies handled it . One was sorted in an evening the the other took me 3 days just to convince them I had been hacked. Then when they finally responded it took a further day to resolve. What else could possibly go wrong!!. Didn't have long to wait as 1st The Doc's anti virus protection threw up a warning that it had stopped a virus attack on his pc and we managed to send the offending file to quarantine which contained it. 6 hrs later and it reached my pc so we had to do all the same procedure again. No damage done as our anti virus program stopped it dead.
Please do  make sure your anti virus is working and that you are protected as JS:Downloader is going the rounds again. It is a fairly common one but it is better to be safe than sorry.
It's time for the girls in the Christmas Card club to show our next makes. Mary chose the theme which was Christmas greenery/Poinsettia.
 First card.
I found one used card front in my used christmas card box which I thought suitable and then I had a rummage in my christmas bits box and found an old table decoration (which has to be at least 50yrs as it was given to me by my MIL who had it for along time herself) to use for the poinsettia. I dismantled  the flower decoration and used some of it on the card below.

Second card.
As I had some of the decoration still left I made up another card . I still have enough over to make another one.  I layered up using green, red and gold card stock and my Sizzix fancy circles die cuts in several sizes. The sentiment is by Ultimate Crafts called  'Merry Christmas Swirls.' I die cut them in red and gold offsetting them slightly for a shaddow effect. It doesn't show very clearly in the picture but some of the panels are raised up using 3D tape.

This is what is left of the table decoration after I made the two cards above.

Entering the second  card  into the following challenges:
A Snowflakes Promise #50. Anything goes.
Sweet Stampin Christmas # Anything goes.
Create And Inspire #73 A/g + use dies or stencils.
Get Creative #68 No pattern paper.
Tuesday Taggers #  Recycle something.
C.R.A.F.T. Challenges #463 Christmas.
Creative Knockouts #241 Lots of layers.
Simply Create Too #137 Use die cuts.
Hiding In My Craft Room #348 Super scraps Saturday.

Just as well you have up to date anti virus programme. Such a pain though! You have made two great cards. It's actually rather nice to have used something that has been in your stash for so long and can bring back memories. Take care. Christine x

What a time you have had with hackers. It's good that you have great anti virus software. Your cards are so pretty. I like how you reused a table decoration. It looks great on your cards.

2 lovely cards, I'm not getting on very well with my Christmas cards despite good intentions.
Love how you've used the old table decoration, it's hard to part with family treasures but it's so much nicer to use it like this than it be sat in a drawer year after year

What a nuisance, such a shame you had to go through so much aggro with one of the companies. Beautiful cards and great recycling of the decoration.

You never disappoint in your recycling skills. I love BOTH of these cards and I really like the design layout on #1. Clever to use table decorations as your stash too! Must remember that! on #2, equally lovely, I am admiring of your red & gold offset on the sentiment. I try to do that, but it just never turns out well. Yours is stunning, and it really draws the eye to that wonderful font too. Well done, Mrs. A. Thanks for the heads up on the virus warning too. Hope your upcoming week will be better. TFS & Hugs

Flipping heck, what a week, you poor thing, must have been a nightmare, glad you managed to get things sorted though but I would have named and shamed the one that didn't respond quickly.
Two really lovely cards, great use of the red and green and especially the lovely table decoration.
Faye is in my neck of the woods next weekend not booked on her class but will pop down to say hello and no doubt spend a bit at Dies to die for.

You do wonderful work with your upcycled card. The die cut Merry Christmas on the second card is so beautiful...as is your poinsettia.

So cool you were able to use that embellishment...cool history, there!
