Time once again for the girls
in the Christmas Card Club
to show our latest cards.
The theme chosen is
'A Winter Scene' set by the lovely Rachel.
A quick delve into my pile of used christmas cards
and I found this really old card that I had been
keeping as I rather liked the picture it depicted.
I have not made a tile design card for ages.
I think it has worked out really well
I trimmed the card down to 4" square and then cut it
up into 1" squares (Remember to number them in order
on the back before cutting, ask me how I know, lol).
I made a grid up on a slightly larger piece of cream
card stock using my scor-pal to create the grout lines.
Adhered to gold shimmer card and then a red card base.
Finished off with gold peel off edging and a
sentiment cut from another old card.

Keeping up with my commitment to actually
use my Christmas stamps and assorted goodies
I found this Stampendous scene stamp called Snowy Postcard.
Last used back in April 2014 so high time it saw
daylight again!
Stamped onto white card stock and then just the ivy and
berries coloured in using promarkers along with silver
gel pen over some of the outlines for definition. I then sprinkled
glamour dust on the oval part of the image to create a sparkle
on the snow. Backed onto silver shimmer card and then
cherry red sparkle card and the base card made up from more
of the silver shimmer cardstock.
Sentiment is a silver peel off and I finished round the
edges with silver peel of edging.

Two lovely cards Valery....how clever you are with the tiled card I never get mine straight! Xxxxx
Clever idea on how you did the grid on your first card...I thought it was a die cut. Will definitely be filing that idea away, thank you so much for the inspiration on your beautiful cards x
Two lovely cards Mrs A, one using my favourite Stampendous stamp, I love this and yours is so snowy and sparkly too.

Both beautiful and love expecially the first one, great tile card, it seems really a window!!
Two beautiful cards, Mrs A. I like the tiled effect for your first scene. I think I even have some frame overlays to create the look of the small squares...goodness knows where!
Your intricate cuts for your tile effect paid off...It looks great.
The second card is a particular fave of mine. I just love this stamp. Did you notice it says Canada in the bottom corner?

Two great scenic Christmas cards - good way of recycling an image by cutting to squares, very neat.
Hi Mrs A
Brilliant idea to do the tile effect. Really adds interest. Love the postcard scene too. Makes you want to go brrrrr!
Best wishes.

Everytime I see this postcard stamp I fall in love with it all over again. You've made a fabulous card with it. And your tiled card is brilliant! HUgs Christine xx
Hi Mrs A. That's a lovely scene and I like they way it give the impression of looking through a window. The Stampendous stamp is one of my favorites, think I've used it every year since I got it.
Hope you've enjoyed Poldark, I had to watch it straight away!

Apologies for the CCC lateness, but I'm so glad I finally got to look at the cards you shared. I really love the effect of the tile on your recycled card. This looks amazing & so pretty. Also love #2, (and I have that stamp). Very serene and frosty winter scene, indeed! TFS & Hugs
Absolutely gorgeous Valery, I love them both, especially your recycled card, beautiful traditional Christmas scene. Trying to catch up after my holiday, reason I'm late commenting , Kate x
Two beautiful cards Mrs A and the pretty scene through the window has been wonderfully cut and the embossed lines really make it look like a window frame, and then the Stampendous postcard with the snowy cottage and love the shimmery look on the inner oval and the combination of of red, silver and white with that touch of green on the holly..gorgeous! x
