As a DT Favourite back in May on the
I have been invited back this month
as their Guest Designer.
The Theme is Changing Seasons with a twist
of make it Masculine.
I decided to go with the Fishing Season
and show you this card that I made using the art of Iris Folding
The design is from a book called
'460 Iris Folded Cards To Make'
by Maruscha Gaasenbeck and Tine Beauveeser
All the papers I used were scraps from my stash.
The sentiment was computer generated and cut with
the SU Punch ' Modern Label'
I had such fun making this that I actually made two of these cards
one of which went to a swap friend (that I never showed until now)
who said she liked it so much that she framed hers.
See if you can spot the difference with the one below.
They are very slightly different though I have made them
using the same papers.
I need to go the charity shop and get a frame for my one now!

Brilliant design for Iris Folding. I've been flicking backwards and forwards between the two photos. Are the scallops at the bottom different? xx
I've never tried iris folding Valery, but your is fabulous and looks so detailed.
Like Lix have been flicking back and forth and all I can see is perhaps the diamond in the centre ?

Fabulous card, and I see a little difference. Never tried this technique before, looks complicated.
Glad to see Norm taking it easy, Kate x
Hi Mras A,
what a very super card, and a very lovely design.
I love that colour choices as well.
I haven't done any of this type of crafting for years.
So thank you for the wonderful reminder with this card.
I spy Norm taking things easy and having a good rest after all his hard work in the summer
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Mrs A what a great card, it's ages since I did any Iris folding, love this design.
As Brenda said, I think it's the size of the middle diamond.

Oh how clever. It builds up well and makes a very interesting card as long as you don't sneeze at the wrong moment. Always something to buy, isn't there?
This is fabulous, that took a lot of patience!
Congrats on your GDT post, hun! What a fantastic iris-fold fish! Fabulous!
love Mags B x
I've never done Iris folding but since I love this, maybe I should learn! It makes a lovely card and looks like you spent so much time on it. I agree with the center being a different size. Poor Norm, he looks pooped!
Oooh love your iris folding Mrs A. It was one of the techniques I tried years back when I started paper crafting..you have inspired me to give it a go again
Cheers

Beautiful card and I think the size of the fish is the difference perhaps? Thanks for being my Guest Designer at Unstampabelles with this wonderful piece of work.
Utterly fabulous and so worth framing too. I can see no differences though.
Hugs

It's gorgeous and I really hope you display it proudly as it's wonderful. I've not done any iris folding for ages but you've inspired me once again!
The Colorista colouring course please know you are not alone. I've never taken so much time to colour images before because I thought I didn't have the patience. As I really want to improve my colouring it's worth the time and effort. Well at the moment it is, thank you for the lovely comments on my blog, especially the balloons. I'm proud of the shading on those balloons. I'm getting texture on my critters too which makes me happy.
A woman of my age getting excited about colouring in images - it's an unusual thing lol! Have a great weekend Karen x
