Another two weeks just gone like a puff of smoke. Time for the girls in the Christmas card club to show our latest cards. Zoe set the theme of Gifts, ribbons and bows. I have had this wooden stamp by Inkadinkado in my stash for a very long time. I think this is only it's second outing. I coloured up with my Graph'it pens and silver, bronze and gold gel pens. I have been looking at a lot of You Tube videos
for inspiration and found one by Connie Stewart using diagonal strips of coloured card so this is my take on what she had made. I had loads of strips of white card stock so I coloured them up using the same pens as for the stamp and then cut into even narrower strips. Of course this meant that I had loads of the strips over and smaller bits too so I stuck these onto an off cut of card and used this to die cut the sentiment as you can see below.
I do like the rainbow effect this gives on the sentiment which i also cut out twice more in plain card and glued together for strength. I fussy cut the stamped image and raised up on 3D pads and also raised the layered elements up on the green base card. Only one card this time round as though it looks a simple card it took ages to make the stripe panel for the die cut!!

Hi Mrs A,
Happy Rudolf Days.
What a very fab way to use up your white snippets.
That is a great idea to colour them they look so good.
Love the sentiment cut out of the first card.
Super gorgeous pressies too.
We would make a good pair if I lived nearer you, you could do all my right hand things and I could do all your left as I am left hand in any case.
Tried using the mouse with my left but it is so funny and I can't make it do what I want, and yet I am left handed.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Oooh, love this! x

Fabulous card, loving the colour mixes. Thanks for playing along with us at Make My Monday. Caz. DT.
Great way to have two cards for one and love the technique you used, I have seen it on a video too and one day I will have a try. Both the cards came out beautiful, well done
Great cards using those colorful strips of card! They each have a unique style and the rainbow effect is really cool! My hubby and I were born on the same day 3 years apart and I'm the older woman! Hah! Thanks for the birthday wishes :)
How clever! I love this card! So sweet & Lovely!
Hugs,
Chriss
Hi Mrs A your cards are gorgeous. I love them both. Have a great week. Take care. Hugs Jackie
Two lovely cards. A great way of using up your smaller strips. I have done something similar, using patterned paper offcuts, for making little mini cards to attach to presents.
Love this card Mrs A, a very clever design. xx
Looks really good and so does the rest of the card, can't see any tags on the presents, so which ones mine?

Love the alternative Christmas colours here, very bright and cheery.
Don't even go there with loo rolls, we seem to have gone back six months, I had both an Ocado and Sainsbury delivery last few day's. I'm not greedy but Ocado is just for the M&S products, Sainsbury's for all the usual suspects (and I prefer their fresh OJ to any other).
But given the media hype I decided to add some loo rolls to my Ocado order just in case but they had non. Sainsbury's arrived yesterday and the delivery lad was apologetic before he even got to the gate, no loo rolls, flour, baked beans, tinned tomatoes and so it went on.
Absurd substitutions, most of which went back, migraine ibuprofen replaced with junior disprin, vegan ravioli (no I'm not, Zoe is) replaced with king prawn ravioli and lots more, so much so my shop ended up about half the price it started at.
Certainly doesn't bode well for the Winter.

Fabulous cards x
Hi Valery. love this technique, I've made a whole stack of sheets using card scraps/leftovers after I saw Jennifer MacGuire do it. It's fab for sentiments, and card backgrounds, as well as die cuts such as baubles. Love this card, so pretty. Hugs, Shaz X
Very modern fun designs Valery Ann and isn't it great to use up the off cuts too. Zoe x
So pretty and colorful and such a wonderful way to use our scraps. Wonder if we have toilet paper when the second wave rolls around. Putting it on my grocery list today.
What a lovely card, what a great idea for the diecut. Its madness these people flouting the rules. We are more or less locked down again here. Fingers crossed we get it all sorted soon, Hazelx
OH WOW ... I love this Valery! Just perfect for our challenge! Thanks so much for playing in our challenge at the Artsystamper Challenge Blog! Good Luck in the draw and hope to see you again next challenge!

A great card Mrs A. Love the way you die cut the sentiment and the matching stripes.
We're on local lock down and I get so annoyed at folks behaving as if CoVid doesn't exist.
Stay safe and Thanks for sharing this card at Try it on Tuesday.

Fabulous ides, ValeryAnne! Love the idea of cutting the sentiment from the paper pieced background. I have made the backgrounds and used them on cards, but had not thought to use them to die cut things. Brilliant idea!
Great card and thanks for taking part in the September Rudolph Days Challenge.
That is such a great look Valery. Love how you did your lettering, makes a gorgeous card. Apparently the loo rolls are flying out along with flour and pasta yet again!!!
How striking and two for one, yeah!
Wonderful strips and colours and such a happy Christmas card x. No doubt about the hype already started x.
A great bright and cheerful design.
Thanks for joining us at the Artsystamper Challenge.
