I am showing a card today that was needed a couple of weeks back. A cousin of The Doc lost her husband to cancer and advanced alzheimer's. Always difficult cards to send. I chose to use this Magnolia digi image by Becy's Place and a Woodware sentiment.

Winter Blues
I had bought a sheet of Rice Paper images by Stamperia intending to use for christmas cards last year but never did so decided to have a play with them now. There are four scenes all different . This resulting card is just one of them. The best way to cut rice paper is not by using scissors but to wet round the image with water and then use a small paint brush to gently ease the fibres apart.

Double Slider
The Butterflies are back over on their blog for a second challenge. The theme is:
As usual I have made a card for your inspiration. You can find the instructions over on the butterfly blog under the card shapes header. The shape is not new as I have found various different instructions for making it on YouTube ( this particular version though goes back 12yrs by Lesley Oman) and makes a stand alone slider card.
I have used six elements on the wheel. I was having a good rummage in my stash as I was looking for the Medallion die (as it wasn't were it should have been) and came across these Butterfly Rub-On Transfers by Royal Langnickle. Pkt date is 2005 but they still worked perfectly.
The medallion die is by Spellbinders along with the 'Ariana Blooms' that comes with a matching stamp set. Centre of flower uses Prims. The corner pieces are some of the fallout from the medallion die. (Waste not). Sentiment is gold stickers from my stash.
Do hope you will come along and play. The challenge is running for 3 weeks as usual and will end 14th February 8pm (GMT).

Get Well.
Brother in Law is in hospital at the moment with a rather large Gall Stone so I have sent him this get well card.
This image is my go to digi from Bugaboo 'Stella Nurse' which I hope will bring a smile when received.
Unusually for me this time I have coloured the image using my Copic pens and just a hint of silver gel pen. Mounted using dark blue and then pale blue cardstock onto a white base. The sentiment is a stamp from Woodware.

Blue Birthday
Another card from my stash of unseen from last year. This was the card I made for our Son's Birthday. I will soon have to be making one for this yr!.
To get round that I first stamped the sentiment out onto white cardstock and then cut out each letter. Then used each letter as a template to cut the letters out in contrasting papers. It took a while and trial and error in working out which letters needed to be in front and which ones tucked behind. All of the papers used here except the dark blue are the insides of envelopes received in the post. Lastly I stamped the sentiment onto another piece of white cardstock cut to fit the front of my card and glued the letters into the right places. Mounted onto the dark blue design paper and then onto the card.
This sentiment stamp is one of my favourites from Woodware as it lends itself so well to being paper pieced.
Here is the stamp. As you can see each letter overlaps, so if I had simply stamped out onto the design papers you would see the outlines of each preceding one which I didn't want.

Yellow Folio
With not having blogged much last year my folders of unpublished cards and makes are somewhat bulging at the seams. My issues with the internet seam to be resolved now that they have finished upgrading the nearby base station /transmitter mast to 4G and beyond. I can now log on using my Ipad again and use my computer without it losing the internet every couple of minutes. Fingers however are another problem. Most days I have one white hand and one pink hand so typing is still a bit haphazard and spelling mistakes will occur so please bear with.
What I want to show you today is a Folio Wallet that I made early last year and went to it's recipient in New Zealand.
This is a " Folding Folio" Journal from 'My Porch Prints' and you can purchase the digital printout and instructions from their Etsy shop. I printed it out in black on printer paper which I then glued onto thick card and cut out the templates to draw around. You can print straight onto digital design paper if prefered,. The embellishments are my design. I used Heartfelt Creations 'Classic Rose' and 'Leafy Accents' stamps to create the flowers on the front of the folio. I don't have the matching dies so I had to fussy cut them out which took me a couple of days to do. The centers were made using Prims with a liberal coating of glossy accents over the top. Papers used were all from my stash. Butterflies and flower ( for the catches) are made with punches.
Below shows the large pocket flaps that open completely for storing within. As this was a gift it did go with lots of crafting goodies hidden inside the various pockets.

Four Panels.
The Butterflies are back over on their blog for a new round of challenges. The theme for January is:
Here is the card. The butterfly die is by Cheery Lynn from 'Tiny Thing with Wings' die set B266 and the white frame is from Whimsy Stamps 'FaDoodle Frames' WSD 467.
Here is the card opened out. The stamped design on the back panel is by SU from their 'Floral Statements' set which I have coloured using Promarker pens to match the Stampin Up ink that I used on the design paper. I also used a silver gel pen.
Below shows the design paper cut to fit the panels. It really is an easy card shape to do.
I hope you will come and have a play in the Butterfly Garden. Challenge is running until 24th January.
As usual I have made a card for your inspiration. The shape is far from new as I have found various instructions for making it ( also using different shape names) on YouTube, one even going back 7yrs!
I have used all the elements on the wheel. In all of my stash of papers I couldn't find even just one using the colours and elements that I wanted so as the saying goes If you can't beat them then join them!
I made my own design paper using a selection of SU stamps from 'Everything is Rosy', 'Berry Blessings',' Butterfly Gala', 'What I Love' and 'Brushed Blooms. I watched loads of YouTube tutorials by Ruth Trice of Artful Stampin who is an absolute wizz at Stamped One Sheet Wonders.
This is the design paper that I made to use for the card.

Happy New Year to you all.
I have made this card using supplies that I have had for years and thought I would turn into a New Years Card.
The inside of the card.
My sister told me yesterday that she only received my christmas card to her the day before (30th) yet I had posted all my UK cards on the 8th December (it only had to travel across two counties) and my overseas cards well before that so if you have not had yours from me this card is for you and I hope any missing ones do still all turn up.
I am entering this card into the following challenges.

2 Crafty Critter Crazies #70 : Anything goes with a Critter. (Deer)
A Perfect Time to Craft #1-2023 : Anything goes.
