Yellow Folio

With not having blogged much last year my folders of unpublished  cards and makes are somewhat bulging at the seams. My issues with the internet seam to be resolved now that they have finished upgrading the nearby base station /transmitter mast to 4G and beyond. I can now log on using my Ipad again and use my computer without it losing the internet every couple of minutes.  Fingers however are another problem. Most days I have one white hand and one pink hand so typing is still a bit haphazard and spelling mistakes will occur so please bear with.
What I want to show you today is a Folio Wallet that I made early last year and went  to it's recipient  in  New Zealand.

This is a " Folding Folio" Journal from 'My Porch Prints' and you can purchase the digital printout and instructions from their Etsy shop. I printed it out in black on printer paper which I then glued onto thick card and cut out the templates to draw around. You can print straight onto digital design paper if prefered,. The embellishments are my design.  I used  Heartfelt Creations 'Classic Rose'  and 'Leafy Accents' stamps to create the flowers on the front of the folio. I don't have the matching dies so I had to fussy cut them out which took me a couple of days to do.  The centers were made using Prims with a liberal coating of glossy accents over the top. Papers used were all from my stash.  Butterflies and flower ( for the catches) are made with  punches.

Below shows the large pocket flaps that open completely for storing within. As this was a gift it did go with lots of crafting  goodies hidden inside the various pockets.

Everybody Art #527  Anything goes.

Your folio is absolutely adorable, love the papers you used with the fresh yellow! The Heartfelt roses with leaves look gorgeous! Cutting all them without the matching dies has been a work of love for sure! The design of the pockets and inserts is beautiful and so inspiring. Thanks for sharing! The recipient will be surely very happy to receive your gift!

What a super creation and in lovely fresh Spring colours.

We're still waiting for the upgrade connection here, they put new wires in place months ago (still overhead here in the Fens) then it all came to a standstill and our guess is there's not a lot more to do beyond connecting all the bits together.

Great! Your folio wallet is really beautiful. I love the understated papers decorated with these flowers and leaves. And I admire the colors. It's matching shades and I really love it. And the wallet itself has so much room for photos, a few words or whatever you want. I think the recipient was very happy about it.
Thank you for presenting your project in the Everybody Art Challenge.

Wow, Mrs A! What a project! I have seen these folio designs a few times but have never tried to make one myself. You have done a magnificent job and I love your choices of coordinating design papers and embellishment accents. I'm sorry I am a bad blog visitor. I do see you come by mine occasionally and it's always lovely to see you. I notice there is a craft fair in Sandown next weekend. I wonder if your Faye might be there with Tracy from D2D4? Will you go?
Happy New Year, hugs, Lesley
