I have used Julie’s ‘Christmas Frame‘ JH1026 and ‘Christmas Frame Word’ JHD-CUT-FR002 die cut.
The background was made using Distress Oxides laid down in strips and blending the edges of the colours together. Using a water brush pen you then lift some of the colour away to give a lovely faded look. I added a gold gel pen around the holly, mistletoe and poinsettias. I used gold card for the die cut Christmas and as backing for the the word Merry. Gems from my stash. Instead of using 3D pads for the layering I used up some strips of cardstock glued together. Works a treat and another way to use up those pesky scraps!!
As it is the 25th today I am going to enter this card into the Rudolph Challenge over at Scrappy Mo’s.

Good job I bought The Doc some Thermal (2.3 tog) socks from Ebay the other week. I despair of some of the logic behind the new rules banning supermarkets from selling clothing.!

I had the same problem with socks during the spring lockdown here in Italy. And I haven't yet understand why I wasn't able to buy them. I had to buy a frying pan, too, but I couln't. Grrrrr!!!! Fool rules, since any logic sense. But all things in these crazy times are without logic sense...
Sorry for your nasty tummy bug. Hope you feel better soon.
Lovely card with a very beautiful background!
Hope you are better Valery Anne - it's horrible feeling yuck!

A lovely Christmas card for the Rudolph Days. Hope you are feeling much better. Good tip about using scrap card instead of foam pads to raise images - why didn't I think of that eh??
Great effective card, hope you are doing fine. xx

Hello Valery, sorry to hear that you've had a tummy but, I hope you are over it now, nasty things.
Gorgeous card and I love the pink and gold, beautifully embossed too.
In one way I can understand the essential shopping rule, but what is essential to one person isn't to another, and today I woman couldn't buy sanitary ware, now that is sooooo stupid, obviously a man made that rule. We will hear tomorrow what tier the Highlands are going to be in.
You take care of yourself, Kate x
A really lovely creation love the colours of the background and the mixed sentiment.

Hope you are feeling better now. Love the way you've used water to "bleach" the berries and leaves.
Don't panic - it's only in Wales where supermarkets aren't allowed to sell clothing. Apparently it's to stop people spending time browsing and get them in and out of the shop as fast as possible - although people often take just as long browsing over food products. I'm always intrigued when I see somebody spending several minutes trying to decided between two identical items!
I love the tones of muted colour on your Christmas card and the pop of gold is so pretty x. What a fabulous technique too. I am so sorry you have had a tummy bug and I hope you are feeling much better now...yes a mystery as to how you got it...? x
Sorry to hear, you have not been well.
Oooo what a stunning CAS card and gorgeous colours too, thanks for joining us at Octobers Rudolph Days Challenge, Luv Sam x

A lovely Christmas card, Mrs A, the background is beautiful! I hope you've recovered from your tummy bug, how maddening to pick up a bug when you haven't been anywhere.
Stay safe and well.

Your card is just beautiful ValeryAnne. Love the gorgeous background. So sorry to hear you got a bug! I'm with you, wondering how on earth we catch these things when we don't go out!! Shows how easily we could catch Covid if not extra careful. Take care and hope you are back in tip top shape again soon. xx
