No,No, Thrice times No!

No this is not happening. Who ever  my true love is, sending me penguins is not on. I do not want a pile of Penguins to feed. Yes I do have a fish pond but it doesn't have any fish in it so unless this lot like frogs legs they are going to be very hungry. I have only just finished rehoming all the ducks from last year. At least they only ate grain!!

On the First day of Christmas my true love/not  sent to me a Penguin. Ok one penguin can stay.

Image, igloo  and sentiment  are all freebies from Crafts Beautiful magazine. I have used my watercolours  from Caran D'Ache to colour the background and igloo. Just a dab of yellow on his beak. I have painted silver glitter glue around the sentiment  and on the igloo. Sentiment is silver embossed.  Stitched before adding to the design paper and glitter card.

On the Second day of Christmas my true love/not  sent to me a  further two Penguins. They will have to share with the first penguin. I only have one tin of  sardine fillets in olive oil with lemon. Two penguins are not company.

All images are freebies as above . Coloured using my Caran D'Ache water colours. Finished by painting over the igloo and snowflakes with a brush and silver glitter glue. Stitched with blue thread.

On the Third day of Christmas my true love/not  sent to me a  further  Three Penguins. Another look in the pantry and I have found a tin of Tuna but that is it the cupboard is now bare!! Three penguins are definitely a crowd.

Same penguin stamp as above + freebie sentiment. Painted using my Caran D'Ache water colours. sentiment is embossed in black and die cut using a  Sizzix circle die.  Design paper is a freebie from a magazine. Stitched with black thread. Penquins bodies brushed over with silver glitter glue.

Now if your all wondering what that wretched Elf has been up to  well see the picture below.
He is none too happy about it but needs must. I can't cope with Penguins  and Little L'th  all at the same time.

Isn't christmas over yet.

Hi Valery, your cards are fabulous, love the penguins and your little scenes. I've not even got any tuna to send you, good luck.
As for Little L'th, as you say needs must.
No I didn't know Faye was your daughter, obviously a very talented family. I love her colouring and would love to see her in action...so to speak, Kate x x

Oh no. The ducks were bad enough last year - but penguins? You are sure going to have your hands full. That's a good solution for Little L'th - but how long till he gets out and about again? Maybe one of those penguins will set him free?

How cute but the multiplication rate was very fast...great post.xx

Well I've just bought the smoked salmon for Christmas so you'd better until Little L'th and tie up the penguins instead, I don't want them getting their beaks around it!
Lovely cards but I'm thinking that by the 12th day of Christmas you're going to need to make some very big cards!

:D Your home is going to be filled by penguins! :D You could buy some fish & chips, perhaps they would love chips too! :D Beautiful watercolouring and love the stitched detail.
Poor L'th! I think it might be a good penguin's guardian, if you give him a possibility ;)

Three super cards and those penguins are fabulous but I'm wondering how you're going to feed them all if they keep multiplying. Poor L'th, but better to be safe than sorry especially with the big day nearly upon us xx

LOL I think my brother would love a few penguins to add to his collection of birds on the farm:-) Personally i think i'd prefer to face a penguin than his geese! hehe Gorgeous set of cards, love the penguin and thank you for the laugh i had this morning reading your post. Merry Christmas. Emmax

Hi Mrs A your penguin cards are gorgeous. That is a good way to deal with the naughty elf. Take care. Hugs Jackie

A person can only take so much and you did need to take care of L'th. Do you think if you untied him he could scare off the penguins? Really, three are two more than enough. I must say they are adorable and you do have an igloo for them although three may not fit in it. If you receive another one, please send me your address and I will send sardines. I don't know how the post office will feel about that, but, hey you have to feed them. Best of luck with that.

Be careful Mrs A. I remember a movie that had lots of penguins (Mr. Popper's Penguins) in it but they were cute...I would of mailed you some tuna but hubby took the last can.
Good idea about L'th he could get into mischief with those penguins...just saying be on guard.
Merry Christmas

Fabulous penguin cards Mrs A.... hope your True Love Not doesn't send too many more...the pond will be overcrowded again and your house will stink of sardines and tuna! At least you've kept Little L'th out of trouble for a day or two!
