I'm in by the skin of my teeth. If ever two cards could go wrong then these were prime candidates.
Neither have finished up as they started out. The first one is the best of a bad job and the second one I didn't like how it was going and changed it to a joy fold card half way through!!
So here is the first card using a recycled christmas card from my stash box. I didn't want to do much with the card as it pretty much had everything needed on it so my bright idea was to place the card front in the centre and then fold the sides (of the new backing card)over to meet in the middle. Simples, except that I miscalculated the design paper and needed to trim just a smidgeon off the right hand side that was hanging over. Not a problem, got the trimmer out and promptly cut it too near the edge and cut the fold off as well!!! %^&* ~$#+% or words to that effect rent the air. So after looking at it in despair I thought you know what it looks ok with only the 1 flap so I made a belly band up with the flap I cut off and added the flat back pearls and called it done.
With the band enclosure and below partially opened.
Showing fully opened. The backing papers were from a pad by Glitz called Joyeux noel and the Merry Christmas sentiment on the band is a Transparent Glitter sticker by Starform.
Entering this card into Scrappy Mo's Rudolph #8 challenge.
My next card was to just use some toppers that I had left over from a sheet that had been in my stash for ages. Not sure who they are by now. I had arranged them over a 6" square base card but thought it looked way to plain so I cut the card down across the middle at 3.5" and then the smaller piece down again to 2.5" x 3" . Papers are from the same pack as first card. Base card is from a pack of 6 foiled cards by Tonic Studios . The resulting Joy fold card is much more pleasing to the eye I think.
The sentiments are gold stickers from my stash. The round circle topper is held up on a 3D pad to make the closure on the front. Whilst compiling this card I stuck the green paper on skew wiffy on the front so had to take it off and remake. I don't generally put the sentiment on until I have done that part but I was trying to save time by making the front up and then attaching it lock stock and barrel!!
Fortunately I managed to prise the image plus the sentiment off and cut another piece of green paper (as I ruined the first piece getting it back off). Double sided sticky tape is wonderful until you need to peel it back up!!
Below is the card front opened to show the largest topper on the inside .
Lastly card fully opened.

Kingfisher Blues.
I'm finally back into my email account and have had to wade through hundreds of emails that had stacked up over the past 4 weeks. I thought that I had managed to keep track of all your comments under each blog post but still found 53 peeps who I had missed out on so if you haven't heard from me of late I'm on my way!!
It is the start of a new challenge over on the Butterfly blog.
#105 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with the Letter E.
With the nice summer that we have had I decided to stamp/print lots of images onto various white card stock and take myself outside most days and sit and colour/paint then in. Here are just two of them that I have done for this challenge.
1st Card is using a digi image by Delicious Doodles called 'Kingfisher in the rushes'.
I have gone with. Emerald/ Embossing folder/Butterfly + Eucalyptus on the Kingfisher and Electric Yellow on the butterflies.
I have coloured using my Graph'it markers and a silver gel pen. The dragonflies have a silver sparkle pen added to their wings. The embossing folder is by Creative Expressions called 'Bark' which I thought quite appropriate to use with this image. Sentiment is a silver sticker from my stash.
2nd card is a Magnolia Stamp Loving Tilda. I must confess to owning 16 different Tilda stamps that have never been used so I stamped them out onto water colour card and set myself the pleasant task of colouring/painting each of them in. This is the first one. (15 to go!!). I used graph'it markers for colouring her clothes, hair and the rose. For her body parts I used my Marvy Le PlumeII water colour pens. The rose and butterfly sticker I have had for ages (its one of those puffy 3D affairs). Bow and the gold stickers were from my stash. The paper is an old one free from Making Cards magazine June 2013 called Busy Bees. The flower paper is also a freebie from a magazine but I don't have a name to go with it.
Hope I have inspired you to come and play along. Challenge is back to its normal 2 weeks.

Floral Forest.
My final card to show you for the current Butterfly challenge that still has a week to run and closes on Tuesday 28th 8pm (GMT).
Here I have used all seven elements of the wheel.
Butterfly/Ferrari Red/French Blue/Fuchsia/Frame It/Flowers/Folds more than 1.
The card is an easel card and I have cut the frame using my Xcut rectangles die cuts. The stsmp is by Stampingbella called 'Floral forest Backdrop' which I have coloured using my Graph'it pens onto pale blue card stock. I went round the edges with a silver gel pen. The stamp is quite a modern funky style so I teamed it with a large sentiment stamp by Honey Bee and used 2 hessian butterfly shapes which I mounted on top of each other to make a dimensional butterfly.
Hope you will come and join in.

We Three Kings.
It was Granmargaret's turn to choose the theme for the Christmas Card Club girls which this time was Nativity. I only had one christmas card front in my used box which was suitable so here it is.
The card front was quite slim just 2.5 " wide so I have adhered it to several layers to produce a card just under 4" wide. The sentiment is a stamp by Dovecraft from a set called Tis The Season. The gold stickers corners were from my stash.
In hindsight I think the wording would look better in gold embossing instead of the black ink so I might just redo that before it gets sent .

Word Search.
Here is another card that I have sent to our Grandson. He looks forward to receiving these different cats and this time he has a word search puzzle included inside. I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card but he had to find 14 different breeds of cat plus the 3 cats names that live with him hidden inside the grid. I remembered on the subsequent cards to take a picture of each of the grids which were all searching for a different theme.
This card uses a digi image called 'Knitters cat by Emma of Addicted Inker. Coloured using my Promarkers and a gold gel pen. Die cut is by Nellie Snellen MFD088.

A Rose in disguise.
Another card for your inspiration. It is week 3 of the Butterfly challenge and still 2 weeks for you to enter.
#105 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with the Letter F.
This card uses the combination of Ferrari Red/Fold more than 1/ Butterfly.
The digi is another freebie from Beccy's Place called Clematis but whilst looking through my papers I found this one which is actually wild roses (from Pretty Things by Juliana Kneipp) but looked exactly like the image so I have coloured as if a rose. Card shape is half an Accordian as I didn't put the last fold in which would have then made 4 panels. I have coloured using my Graph'it pens and a gold gel pen around the edges of the image. I like the effect this gives IRL. Hard to capture on camera though. The butterflies are gold stickers from my stash.
Looking down on the card from above so you can see the shape clearer.
Hope you can find the time to play along.

A Big Whoop
Have been without internet for past two days (explanation given to me was that wires got crossed, make of that what you will) and only got back on last night so busy now trying to catch up.
It was our Granddaughters birthday last month and this is the card that I made for her. She loves pink and is nearly always in denim and owns 2 pet rabbits so this digi by Mo's Digital Pencil called 'A Big Whoop' seemed most appropriate with the rabbit in the little girls pocket. Iv'e coloured using my Promarkers.
I have made the card as an easel card and put 8 candles on the inside. They are Anita sticker glitterations along with the sentiments from my stash which are getting worrying low now!!

The Doc and I.
Well my email server has decided it no longer likes me or my passwords so short of emailing it a copy of my birth certificate (which of course I can't do as it is catch 22) to prove who I am I'm a duck out of water at the moment. My son has had a look and said everything is correct I will just have to sit it out and wait. Perhaps a bag of sweeties might entice it to be nice to me but at the moment a good box round the ears is what I really feel like giving it!!
Anyway It was our Wedding Anniversary this week and here is the card that I made for The Doc.

Digi image is from Bugaboo Gus and Stella 'Remember.' Coloured with my promarkers. I printed the sentiment off in word. We went to our favourite Fish Restaurant. It is a 2.5hr ride away but we make a day of it. The restaurant is right by the waters edge and you can watch all the boats going past. Some of them quite expensive too. Well one can always dream. It was a very pleasant day.
Sorry? Were you expecting more. You didn't really think I was going to spill the beans on what was inside the card now did you!!

Jar of Flowers.
Another card to show you as inspiration for the current Butterfly Challenge.
#105 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with the Letter F.
This time I am using French Blue/Flowers/Butterfly.
Stamp is by Stampingbella called 'Mason Jar of Flowers'. I have coloured using my Graph'it markers and a silver gel pen. The sentiment is part of the set. The butterfly is a fly sticker from my stash. The base card is made from Blue cardstock which I adhered the image to the front of.
The challenge is running for a further 3 weeks and will finish on Tuesday 28th August 8pm (GMT). I will post another card up next Wednesday using further elements from the Butterfly wheel so stay tuned.

Sleigh and Sled.
Time again for the girls in the Christmas Card Club to show our next cards. Maureen set the theme and asked for Christmas Activities using a Sleigh, Sled, or Ski's. I had one used christmas card front that was suitable and I found a digi image to use as well. Phew!! Thought I was going to be stuck on this one.
First Card uses an old christmas card front that I have trimmed down. Papers are all from a paper pack by Glitz called 'Joyeux Noel'.
The card front was quite pink in colour so I toned it down with papers that were red and brown themed. Sentiment was already on the card front.
My second card uses a pre - coloured digi by The Paper Shelter called 'Sliding Bear'. Again I have teamed with papers from the same paper pack as above. The sentiment is a stamp by Phill Martin from his Scribbled Christmas Sentiment Corners Set which I highlighted with a brown pearlescent chalk.
Two more cards to add to my christmas pile which is beginning to stack up nicely.

3 Cats in a Row.
I have been remiss in showing your the cat cards that I have been sending each week to our Grandson.
This digi image is by Fairytale Clipart .com Called Mama Cat( No 15). I have coloured with my promarkers and made each one represent the cats that live with our Grandson. Tortie and white/Black/Tortishell. The digi paper is by My Clip Art Store and is called Navaho Tribal paper( No2). I finished the box off with some washi tape. Silver sticker was in my stash.

Fuchsias.
It is time for a new challenge over on the butterfly challenge and the theme is as follows.
#105 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with the Letter F.
This lovely digi image is a freebie from Beccys Place where she has a number of images that you can download. I have a fuchsia bush just this colour in the garden so I took my pens outside and set up a table in front of the flower and copied the colours that I saw. The frame is made from silver edging and the the butterflies were silver stickers, both from my stash. I have adhered the image onto pink carstock ( which is coming out red in the picture) and then onto a white card base. The sentiment is part of a set by Digi Stamp Boutique called Birthday Mr Bear.
I didn't realise that the leaves on a Fuchsia actually have red veining on them. Here is the real thing which this time my camera is showing as pink not red IRL!!!! I coloured mine using my Marvy Le Plume II watercolour pens by scribbling the colour onto a piece of acetate and then picking the colours up with a water brush. When dry I went over with my clear Wink of Stella brush.
I will post another card using more of the wheel next Wednesday so stay tuned.

The colour wheel this time round is
Ferrari Red/French Blue/ Fuchsia/Flowers/Frame It/ Folds more than 1/ Butterfly.
Challenge is lasting for 4 weeks to take into account the school holidays and this beautiful weather that we have been experiencing of late. Long may it continue.
My card to inspire you is using Ferrari Red/Frame It/ Butterfly.
