Christmas Ornament

It's time again for the midway reminder for the

The theme as usual is Anything goes.......but not cards.

I still had some of the goodies we were given
left over from the last challenge
which was sponsored by Woodware.
There was ribbon and cardboard baubles
plus a plaque in the pile and as Christmas is not
in the too far distant future  I decided
to make a Hanging Ornament  with them.

First though I needed to decorate the baubles.
I used a technique that I had learnt at a recent workshop
I had attended.
The cardboard shapes were coloured using Promarkers
then covered with Versamark  before being dipped in
Papermania holographic embossing powder  and heat set.
Once cooled down I laid a stencil over the top.
This one is by Imagination Crafts 'Wisteria '
and makes a pretty pattern when only using
a section of the design.
I stamped over with the versa mark and used
Cosmic shimmer ultra thick embossing crystals
in 'Bronze Lustre'.
Once heat set and allowed to cool the whole bauble was
covered in versa mark and dipped in clear gloss EP.
before being heat set again.
They now have a lovely glassy feel/shine to them.
Sentiment was cut with  a Britannia word die
ad heat embossed with the cosmic shimmer crystals.
I punched a row of holes long the bottom of the plaque
and threaded through with the ribbon and tied the baubles
on at different heights until I got the weights right
in order to hang straight.

Entering into the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion #238 Bright and sparkly.
Divas By Design # Anything goes.
Crafty Catz #253 Anything goes.
Dream Valley #94 Getting ready for Christmas.
Glitter and Sparkle #109 Anything but square.
Buckwells Crafty #2 Use ribbon.
Crafts Galore #11 Anything goes.
Jellypark Friends # Festive creations.
Sparkle 'n' sprinkle # Anything goes.
Imagination Crafts # Anything goes. (used an Imagination Crafts stencil).

Oh, that's beautiful. I like that duck egg blue colour xx BTW, I still jump through piles of leaves, I haven't grown out of that. In fact, I was telling Sweet Cheeks (as we were BOTH jumping through piles of leaves) the other day, how much trouble I used to gwt into for it when I was little. xx
