Decorated Easter Egg.

As part of my Win over at Crafting With Dragon flies  (#19 The doc's recycled whisky bottle)  I was invited to be the Guest Designer for April which I was  very pleased to accept.
The theme for  the first April challenge is:
Easter card or anything as long as it is Easter.

I have chosen to decorate an Easter Egg.
I used a cardboard shaped egg and a 2ply serviette.
I first covered the egg blank with the bottom sheet of the 2ply serviette torn into pieces.
I used Mod Podge for the gluing .
I then painted green with a test pot of acrylic paint .
Finally covered with the top sheet of the torn up serviette.
I cut the rabbit out separately and adhered him last.
Another coating of mod podge to seal and give a nice overall sheen to the egg.

Top and base are both the same rabbit design.

I attached the edging strip of the serviette to the edge of the bottom egg half.

I then raided my stash and went to town decorating.
I used
Lace, flowers, ribbon, beads, gems & pearls.

Side view of finished egg.

It wouldn't be Easter without the chocolate eggs inside!!

Popover here to join in all the fun.

Entering into the following challenges:
The Cheerful Stamp Pad #83 Add some flowers.

Beautiful decoupaged egg. Reminds me of the porcelain eggs you see in a museum. Love all the delicacies you have adhered around this little napkin bunny, and especially the yummies inside. TFS & Hugs
