Butterfly Kisses.

I made this card a few weeks ago for a lovely blogging friend whose family are going through a rough patch health wise at the moment and I wanted to send her a little something to show I was thinking of her. The lovely card shape came from my friend Di. Now I'm not sure if it is a pre cut card or if Di cut the pretty butterfly trim herself but no doubt she will pop on later and put me to rights. The backing paper is by Raspberry Road and that huge wooden butterfly came free with crafts Beautiful Magazine. I gave it a coat of Match pot paint 'Tuscan Terracotta' and then covered with Glossy accents. The stamp is by Crafty Individuals' and is one of my favourites   CI - 012. The pearls and lace came from my stash.

It's gorgeous Mrs A - the butterfly goes so well with the pre-edged card too. Snigger. I also have one of the test pots in that colour from looking for a colour when we had the downstairs loo refitted. Never ever thought of raiding all those testers I bought, did one strip of and then stuck in the garage. Love the stamp you used too - no wonder it's a favourite.

The cards came from Hobbycraft and are supposedly laser cut - probably so for such an intricate design :)

Oh, and the snippets card cloud background was done without doing a mask - you can probably tell 'cos I sort of skirted round the little girl very carefully. Them little duster brushes are brilliant too!

Have a nice day - I'm off to do some linking and then there's the usual ton of ironing leering at me waiting to be done!

Hugs, Di xx

Gorgeous card, love that border and your butterfly is stunning. Will have to remember to get some of those tester pots - I bet they're cheaper than the craft paints too! Have a lovely week Karen x

It's me again Mrs A! Just spotted your comment made a few days ago over at Sarn's about why we can't men shun sat nav and Sam in the same breath ........plus the fact that I can't talk. Had forgotted about that episode on way to AP :)

Basically (she squeals happily) - Sam now knows a few of the roads on the way (not!) to the George and Dragon. Poor little sausage :(

Hugs, Di xx

Oh, I like butterflies, each one a little gift to treasure. We had a cool day today and I was singing the praises of the rain too...so lucky to have a rainy, cool and delicious day. The butters don't like the rain though, they don't go out and about in it as I would.....oh to have wings. Have a lovely evening.

Such a yummy snippets card, Mrs. A! I love your painted butter fly and the lovely lacey butter fly family on the edge!!

Interesting about all the assortment of flies in the world, isn't it? We have butter flies and horse flies and house flies and dragon flies and curly fries ...

This is simply gorgeous (and more freebies on this...still I'm amazed!) The diecutting is so intricate, and your wooden b/fly fit in perfectly with this pretty edge. Always enjoy hearing how you use the different paints to create your embellies. Your friend will love receiving this work of art. TFS & Hugs
