I have finally finished the oil painting that I started back in July.
Again I have taken pictures of it as I have gone along.
This was the first stage where I put in the sky, mountains and grassland.
Next came the water which took several weeks of gradually building up the colour and letting each coat dry throughily in between. Then the rocks and reeds.
And finally my ducks in a row! I'm quite pleased with the result as this is only my fourth oil painting.
And this is the magazine picture that I took the drawing from.
Have started the next one already. I will leave you to guess as to the subject matter from the Title I have given it.
'Whose a pretty boy' ?

A.Mazing!
The next one is monkey. Derr! xxx
Well dones, that looks great - not at all like the flying ducks Hilda Ogden had!!
Lovely to see it building in stages, really nicely done :)
Oh I love your painting, I pait too when I am not sculpting. I cant get along with oil because of the fumes, so stick to acrylic or water colour. The acrylic dries so quickly though grrr!
I am following you now xxx
Wowwwwwwwwwww amazing:) Sandra H

The Godparent must have telepathic powers.... because I was about to guess that the next painting must be a portrait of me with a clue like that !
Phew, that's a relief I had an image of Hilda Ogden singing in front of her Muriel for a moment! You're a natural, your painting is fantastic.
If your next one is of The Doc, let's hope he can hold his pose between drying stages - I said pose!! lol xx
Darling Mrs. A. - to have your wonderful talent would be amazing....you're such an amazing woman with the things you can do. Who knew that would be a mallard - it's stunning your painting. I've always wanted to paint and took a class...know my talent hasn't a monkey's tail of painting in it...heehee. I love your stories and love monkey with his painter's cap. Now...to keep that kitty from p*ss*ng on your lawn....HAHAHA
I'm speachless.......what a talented woman you are!!!!.....I guess the next painting will be Sweet Cheeks??????
