Double Easel Card.

I have a Double Easel Card to show you today.
You can find the instructions for making
by Christina Griffiths here.

I went to a Spectrum Noir Pencil class
on Saturday and we were given
this image by Justinklined  'Daffodil Patch'
to colour in.
Tutition was by Nicky Hayden
who is on the Spectrum Noir Design team.

Never used colouring pencils before
so this was a first for me.
Needless to say I did not come away
empty handed and now have 3 boxes
of spanking new pencils to play with.
Hard to believe just by looking at the image
but we used 6 different shades of green
just to  colour the leaves in.
The jug was easy in comparison as it only took 3!.
I really enjoyed myself and am
already booked in for the next lesson.
Watch this space as it were!

It is week 2 of my Butterfly Challenge
The theme is Thankyou with your Butterfly.
Here is my inspiration for you.
Design paper is 'Home Grown' by Hot Off The Press
White card used to make card shape.
Yellow textured  card used to make the easel shapes.
I used spellbinders die  'Floral Ribbon Threader'
Sentiment is an Anitas Sticker in gold foil.
Side ways view showing the double easels.
Butterflies are by Dufex from my stash along
with the oddments of cream ribbon.

Close up of the flowers again.
Hope I have inspired you to play along this week.

Wow!! This is fabulous Mrs A. Gorgeous colouring and I do love the double easel card design. I do enjoy using pencils for colouring - although mine are Polychromos ones. Do you use blending solution I wonder? That certainly is great stuff.

Hi Mrs A
Beautiful image and your colouring is superb. . . . . . Has really brought the flowers to life.
Hope the dentist went OK. The Ivy die was about £6 from Oyster Stamps but my goodness, they were slow to dispatch.
Best wishes.

This is lovely...love that fancy fold!
Your colouring is wonderful on this. I love the look of colouring pencils...I seem to do better with them than with copics!
The image looks beautiful.

Mrs A, this is beautiful! I love daffs, they are my fave flower so this is a winner in my eyes anyway, and I love how you've coloured this image, and your finished card is so lovely, a fab design.

I thought I had already commented ... ? Oh, must have been on Facebook. I'm getting too old; hopping back and forth between the blogs and FB, I lose track! As you know, I was blown away by your extraordinary daffodil bouquet! I love colored pencils, but have nowhere near this talent. I'm so glad you are going back for more classes to bring out even more of your natural talent you have with this medium!! Your gorgeous double easel card is a brilliant way to use snippets and showcase your art!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #3! Hugs, Darnell
