Water Colouring.

I have been to two of the water colouring classes now  and my dread of having to do a still life on lesson one turned out to be a reality. The tutor could see I wasn't happy with an apple and a banana  so gave me an old metal railway sign which was advertising a wine with a picture of a grape vine with grapes hanging on it.
We finished our still life in the second lesson so here is my first efforts at water colour painting.  When I got it home I couldn't resist adding a butterfly to it. Well it would have been rude not to!!

Not exactly a master piece  but it's a start. I'm more at home with oils and there is a different technique  to using water colours. Next lesson we are painting flowers which is much more in my comfort zone so watch  this space as they say.

That's fabulous work Mrs A. So proud of you. I love water colour paints but oil paints terrify me! I took water colour classes at one point and I love using them on my cards and papers. I can draw but it takes me ages and I'm never happy with the end result lol! I think it's why I love stamps so much xx

Hi Mrs A
Who wants to paint an apple when you can paint this lovely picture. Not sure I could do anything like this so good for you. Now, if it was Fernando Alonso as a still life, I'd give that a go lol!
Look forward to seeing your next painting.

Thanks so much Mrs A for the tip about how to follow Rachel. My mind is full of other things at the mo (see my comment on the Xmas blog) and I just couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

So good to see you join us over there. You will really like the group. I met Sue J and Sue P in Scarborough when I was over last August. They are lovely girls!

Looks like a masterpiece from where I'm sitting! I couldn't do it. And yes, it needed a pretty butterfly to make it all your very own. Well done Valery. I like it a lot. TFS
