Thank you.

I needed to make a Thank You card and this is the one that I sent. As with my pledge to try out new card shapes and techniques I found this video by Christina  on making a trellis without the use of a die cut.Christina also has a fantastic blog.
Card base made from two pieces of craft paper hinged at top.
Both aperture windows cut using a craft knife .
Embossed with a Butterfly folder free with Papercraft Essentials magazine.
Navy blue strips from my stash of paper oddments adhered to back of front frame.
Butterfly die  by Cheery Lynn Designs DL 113AB
Sentiment  cut  using Britannia dies.
dp behind trellis and on banner by Hunkdory Butterfly Wishes

Side view of card.

Inside of card showing Hunkydory floral topper.
Die cuts by Spellbinders 'Deckled Rectangles' and 'Romantic Rectangles.'

Mra. A, I can picture the look of awed-delight that will appear on the face of the person who is so fortunate to receive this oh-so-pretty card! Not only have you followed through on your resolution (applause, applause!), but the time, thoughtfulness and creativity here is outstanding. Loveliness, both outside and inside your card. Impressive!! Speaking of 'lovely' - your comments on my blog! Thank you! Your words go a long way in keeping me motivated (especially on those days when the recycle bin is being more 'productive' than I am!) Hugs~c

I admire you for trying so many new things. This is gorgeous. I can't do craft knife. I think I am afraid of it. The inside is also gorgeous. Great card.

So pretty! And so expertly executed Anne - WOW! You must have such a steady hand. I think dies and all those other cutting gadgets have rather made cutting with a knife and steel rule something of a rarity these days - for me anyway.

And thanks for your lovely comments again Ann - I have gone rather pompom made but I'm using those Clover gadgets to make them - so easy! I'm intending a post on the different sizes and yarns soon. x
