Thinking of You.

Well that is my 1st New Year's resolution accomplished! I was determined not to blog until I had sorted out my craft stash and space and had a new home for everything and everything in its place. (I may well be going nuts in a few days time though when I can't remember or find where the new home is for the item I need a.s.a.p.)!!
Another resolution I made  is to try new card shapes and techniques out and this is the first card shape here a 'Side Stepper'. My good blogging buddy Debbie of Love Paper Crafting
used this card shape on her blog and when I commented that I had only ever done centre step cards before she very kindly popped two of the ready made shapes in the post to me so that I could use and also see how to make my own version. This card  along with a matching tag was made for a swap and is now safe to show as the recipient has received.

Stripe backing card is actually the base from a custard tart box!
Topper is by Hunkydory 'Flutterbye Wishes' Aqua Spray.
Large butterfly is Memory Box's Isabella98507/Pippi 98508.
Small butterfly  punch from Tonic Studios.
Sentiment is a stamp by Hero Arts.

Side view of card.

Matching tag.
Bakers twine from stash along with the pre shaped  oval for the sentiment.

What a pretty set Mrs A-love the shades of blue.
I can soooo relate to you not finding anything after a major de- clutter,I know exactly where everything is when I am in a muddle-and when it's too tidy it drives me mad hunting high and low trying to remember where I put it!

Two fabulous makes Mrs A - LOVE the shaped card, so much beautiful detail and the matching tag is gorgeous too. Is there e anyfink you won't use? :)

Well done on the tidying spree - I've been doing that here and it's so much easier to work without being squashed up just onto the glass cutting mat! Ha, but like you I bet I'll forget where I put some of the schtuff, sigh.

Hugs, Di xx

A truly beautiful card! I love all those shades of blue and yours work seemlessly together - stunning!
I love the use of the paper from a pack of custard tarts, lol, last night I grabbed the corrugated paper from the box of fruit gellies - I did the same last year and made the most awesome background using H2O's xx

Love your card. Lots of pretties....very nice! I had to giggle, I've been cleaning and organizing too. Giving tons of things away. I wish my granddaughter lived near us. I did make a card last night, I hope to post it tomorrow. Happy New Year and doesn't it feel good to be organized? How ever long will it last?

Well, I'm awed by your cleaning stash goal, and impressed that you kept it. Totally got you on the not remembering the special place you have stored it, as I do that all the time (not being organized you understand, just picking it, thinking, laying it down in the mess, then not being able to find it 5 minutes later!) Good for you! Now, I'm also impressed with this side step. I don't do 'folds' and it's something I'd like to learn (if it's not too much frustrating work!). Very kind of your friend to send you some samples for templates. You've done a beautiful card with your signature style of pretty flowers. Really like all the trims & baubles you added. TFS & setting me such a great example. I should follow it. (being quite lazy - I prob'ly won't though. Will I get black marks in the Playground for that fault?! Hugs

That card is beautiful Mrs A - love the shape.

Well done you for sorting out your craft area - it'll be worth all the hard work and tears - unless, as you say you can't find things. That's exactly what I do - put something away so safe I can't find it again!

I still have not made any real inroads into my room, so you are doing so well to get yours done so quickly. I know just what you mean about the standard of letters. My mother used to teach business studies, which included writing proper letters. It was always drummed into me that you check everything carefully before sending it. I often feel like sending the letters back, marked in red pen and given a score out of 10. Would they understand? Probably not but it would make me feel better. Lovely card, by the way. See you back in the playground this weekend. xx Maggie

Your stair step card is gorgeous! Beautiful colors and so many layers and detail. I like how your card can have so many things that stick up over the card (on the stairs) and still fit in an envelope. Gorgeous matching tag as well! Congrats on meeting your New Year goals. I hope things aren't forever lost in your newly organized space!

Oh my goodness, Mrs. A, a most STUNNING and GORGEOUS card+tag combination! Wow!! The garden of flowers are beautiful and the butterflies...swoon! I'm in awe of your creativity with a 'first' trial at using a different shape (what a fabulous resolution, by the way!). You've missed the 'amateur' stage and have parachuted straight to 'pro.' Impressive!! Hugs~c
