The Doc's Office and mine were situated quite close together in town so most days we would meet up for lunch . This particular day was no different and having had lunch we were sauntering along the High Street when I noticed that he was limping. On inquiring what was wrong I was told "Yes its these shoes. When ever I wear them the right one is a bit tight". I asked had he checked if there was anything in it and was told he had and he couldn't see what was wrong.
Later that evening I had a good look at the said shoe and put my hand into the toe to see if I could stretch the leather a bit. On doing so I felt a bit of rough leather and managed to pull on it and it felt like a piece of string so I gave it a good tug and out popped this object!!!!!!!
I have placed against a 50p piece for comparison.
Now heres the crux of the tail my cats do not have and never have had furry mice to play with. So where did this little chap come from?
We had been to visit Fluff and VUH about 6 weeks previously and Fluff's cats(that she had at the time) did have furry mice to play with. Loved them in fact! On inquiring Fluff confirmed that they were indeed one mouse down but she had thought it was around somewhere and would come to light in due course from whence it had been hidden. The Doc had been wearing these shoes! Can only assume that said mouse got chucked in his shoe during play and come home time The Doc had put his shoe back on without realising and pushed the mouse down into the toe. Hence the Limp.

Haha! How funny! Must have been quite uncomfortable! Love the mouse card :)
I love your story of the mouse and the shoe! It made me laugh to think of him limping around. Your card is a happy reminder, thanks for joining us at OSAAT. Hazel x

Great story Mrs A...I can imagine the Doc limping about for days if you hadn't investigated further!!... although I do feel a little sorry for your homeless mouse now LOL!...your mouse card is sooo sweet!
hi hi hi too funny!!! It's a good thing that you decided to play investigator!!! ;o)
Great card. Love that cute mouse.
Poor Doc! At least the limp has been cured... how's the poor mouse???? LOL Great card and a great tail.. I mean tale!
You two kids should have your own TV reality show. You could just be sitting on the porch telling your yarns, one after the other! I would tune in faithfully, I can tell you!!
Aren't men funny, though? They just limp along and a woman? A woman will get right in there and ferret out the truth of the thing!! Well done, Mrs. A! And well done on the adorable accompanying mouse card, too!
Cute story - a furry little mouse who found a home - the mystery - was it all on his own or did he have help!

Poor Doc, but a funny tale.

Oh so funny Mrs A. Fancy the Doc not looking inside (typical fella) us women would have had the shoe to bits at the first sign of a problem...Ha Ha
Dx
You and Doc are sooo well suited!
Enuff said!

What a funny story and adorable card! I enjoyed visiting your blog -- thanks for playing along at Frosted designs!!
That is one of the most amusing stories I've heard yet! LOL It takes a woman to figure these things out - what would the male gender do without us I wonder? LOL
Cute mousie card, but he won't be taking residence in any of our shoes, sorry! LOL
Very sweet card, the image is s cute. Thank you for sharing your work with all of us at Crafty Boots Challenges.

The Doc was sure a silent limper...mine would have shinged on and on about his poor foot within hours of first putting on the shoe...then he would have rushed out on his munch break and bought new shoes! ahahahaha I can picture it so clearly.
Yours sounds like a trooper...poor fellow limping along...
Great card to commemorate the story!!! Love it to bits!

Oh this had me in stitches. It just sounds like something my other half would do. On the other hand it may be a useful idea if you have any shoes that are too big.
