Haven't stopped jumping up and down yet.
Now I don't really do cards but this gorgeous paper and images by Kirsty Wiseman were on the May Complete Cardmaking CD-Rom and I fell in love with them so I decided to have a go and make my Dad a Fathers Day card. (I know that he will enjoy it for the few moments that he will remember why he received it.) He loves flowers and gardening was the great joy of his life.
I have mounted the flower paper onto beige card stock and just layered up using a blank frame (from the cd) printed onto white paper and more flowered paper inset plus green buttons that were a freebie from a magazine that just happened to match perfectly. The image was already printed in colour so I just cut out and added on top. I used a font from my pc to write the words and the verse (for inside) onto white paper and lastly used green distressed ink on the card edges. Pleased with the result so I'm entering into the following.
Cupcake Crafts: Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy.
Peartree Designs: Fathers Day.
Papertake Weekly: Dads & Lads.
For Fun challenges: Pink, blue, yellow, purple, green colour challenge.

Well of course it won! Its wonderful! I've been MIA in blogland lately but just wanted to say I'm in awe of your creativeness lately - some fabulous projects here. And thankyou for your kind comment about "Sausage" - safely asleep in his bed right now!
Your birdhouse deserved to win, it is amazing. There are so many pretty details to look at, I notice something different every time.
Just because it's dark outside, doesn't mean I won't notice you trying to sneak under the radar. I have security feautures set up you know!
This card is brilliant and perfect for your Dad. He will love it, because he loves flowers, even if he doesn't know why he's got it. :) I love the distressed frame, it's a great detail. So you did buy your copy of that magazine. Let me know if you want my autograph...
Ooh and thanks for playing at Cupcake this week. Good Luck. xxx

Congratulations on your win..I would say, very well-deserved.
Yes, who did say what should be a weed or not? I tend to prefer the plants found outside the garden, though my garden is far from 'cultivated'. Not long now, a week today.....still eXcited, are you???
Love Sue xx

Mrs. A., how have you been? I do miss stopping by - busy at home with the awful King and trying to craft to stay sane. What a gorgeous birdhouse - so clever of you to put it together! Congratulations on winning because it is a winner - all the things you craft are winners! Your card for the Doc is fantastic and I'm sure he enjoyed it. I hope you've been enjoying the start of summer. :-)
