What's on my Wordesk Wk 75.

Well this is my workdesk taken at 9pm tonight.
Lots of christmas material as I'm about to start making a christmas rug mug for a quilt group swap I am doing. It's a secret swap so we only know who we are making one for but not who is making ours.
Wev'e all been given info and clues and sent off to stalk our partners on their flickr pages and to post pics on the group page as we go along to see it we can guess who is getting which one. My partner has asked for a christmas theme so I have drawn a design and plan to applique all the pieces by hand onto the background.
I'm linking up to Julias' blog Stamping Ground Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday.
Appologies for not having been round everyones desk last week. I had computer troubles (See previous post) but I'm off now for a wee sneak.
P.S. (If you look very closely Sherry you may just see something to your advantage!!!!!)

Ooooh I'm looking, I'm looking - need to get me magnifying glass out! That fabric (sort of Art Nouveau-ish!!!!) to the right of the photo looks rather lush! I'm staying tuned.

All your Christmassy fabrics look wondeful - what is a rug mug - a coaster? Lucky secret partner - a hand appliqued piece (I'm turning a lovely shade of green - LOL)

What is a rug mug? A mug rug may be a coaster, but a rug mug? Interesting project, that's for sure!

Lovely desk, wonderful seeing part of the sewing machine, that brilliant machinery that you use your wonderful talent on. I love those fabrics - very cool! You're a woman after my own heart with the sewing - gosh darn it, after I make my cards, it'll be time for me to make room for both sewing machines...I might have to invest in a serger again...hmmmm...I wonder if I will still do cards...you're a bad influence Mrs. A....in such a good way! :-)

I wish I was a better seamstress! There is something about fabric that just connects us to women of the past. Lovely.

Hi Mrs A! Thanks for your comment... I'm so pleased you liked my little wedding couple, it's my first digi so I thought I'd just put it on my blog and see who was interested. I'm more than happy for you to use them for your embroidery, all I ask is that you give me credit for the image by linking back to my blog. I'd love to see whatever you make using the image... I so wish I could sew! I bought a book once with loads of embroidery stitches in it but I just don't give myself the time to learn! Hugs Shelly x

Hi
I don't know what a rug mug is but I am looking forward to finding out. If you have never been to Basildon, it is worth a visit. Check opening times before you go!

It's bad enough that I am running nearly a week late, then I have been plagued with that pesky 503 error all night. Just wanted to drop in and let you know I was here this week. Love that Christmas fabric. I want to jump into it!
