Anniversary Wishes.

It's our wedding anniversary today
and this is the card I made for The Doc.
The digi is from Bugaboo  and is called
'Make it Snappy - Congratulations.'
As soon as Isaw it I knew I had to get it
for The Doc's card.
Remember the good old days when a camera had film
in it which  you had to take all the photos on and
then send away to be developed?
The doc had a mate who when ever he offered to take a photo
would inevitably cut the heads off the people in the snap shot.
Course you wouldn't find this out till long after the event when the
film cam back  from being developed!
I thought this image would bring back happy memories.
Needless to say we had a professional photographer
for our WeddingDay!!

I have chosen to make another Easel card
mainly because it won't then  fall off the shelf it will be standing on!
Image is coloured with Promarkers and
Pearlescent chalks.

Sentiment is a black plastic peel off and yes the 3 dots
were part of the sticker. I peeled them off and stuck them
down using a lot of  choice vocabulary and tip of a pin!

Side view of the easel section.
The black plastic  peel off edging on the placard holding
the easel in place I decided to ADD after I had stuck everything
else down. will I ever learn!!
And no I won't be telling you what the GP stands for either.
Curiosity killed the cat you know!

The doc and I will be going out to a very nice
Fish Restaurant later  for lunch.
We went there last year only to find it was closed on Thursdays
so  hoping being as it is a Friday this yr we will be in luck.
Cheers.

Butterfly Ephemera

We have another challenge for you

The sponsor this time is

I was over the moon (excuse the pun)
when I saw the selection of images we had been given
to choose from.
I was in Butterfly Paradise!!
I was flying by the seat of my pants
to get this card made in time and literally
anything that was not already glued down
on my desk went onto the card.
The backing paper was a sheet of Prima Botancial Collection
still lying on my desk from another project.
The base card was coloured round the edges
using Forest Green distress ink.
I trimmed the images down  and distressed
the edges with Vintage Photo and then distressed
further with  my distressing gadget.
(darn clever these little gadgets are too).
I then layered these up and added bits and bobs of
lace, string, ribbon, rope, button and an odd
Fly Sticker Butterfly that I trimmed down.

As always the challenge is Anything Goes.
Please pop over and see what my
Team mates have created just for you.
You have a week to enter and we would be
delighted to see you.

In Memory of Julie

I thought long and hard
about whether to post this card
as it cannot now be for the intended occasion
but I have  decided to do so as a tribute to our
lovely friend and Godmother to Fluff
who sadly lost her life to Motor Neuron Disease on
18th July 2015.
This was to have been Julie  and Brian's
40th Wedding Anniversary today and though
we had given the card to them early Julie never saw it.
A life so cruelly taken.

For you Julie.

Best Buddie

As soon as I saw this 'Bugaboo' image
I knew I had to get it.

This is so me and my best  blogging buddie  Miss Di.

I wanted to make and send a card to Di to say Thankyou
 as she helped me through
some very dark moments a few weeks ago
and was a cyber shoulder to cry on and cry buckets I did.
Card has been received so I can show.
It is a twisted easel card. I love making these .
The image is called  'Make it Snappy - Friends'
which I have coloured with my promarkers
and a gold gel  pen.
The design paper is by Sally Moret.
I had a little piece over which I was able to fussy cut
out some of the flowers to adhere to the front of the card.
I have layered up using pink and yellow cardstock.
The sentiments were printed off in word
Of course we both had to be wearing pink
as it is our favourite colour.

Summer Flip Flops.

It's  a new challenge over at my

My first thought was Washi Tape Flip Flops
as one does!
First  I needed to gather some stash together and
this is just some of what I eventually used.

I drew a rough shape out  on paper until  I was happy
that it resembled a flip flop base and then cut
a left /right out from corrugated card
to give the appearance of a sole.
I stuck two strips of washi tape back to back on a sheet of paper
for the straps.
I embossed a sheet of white card with
SU's Decorative dots folder to represent the base and
coloured with distressed ink to make them look worn.

I puched holes in the bases and threaded the
washi  tape straps through and then
decorated with embellishments in  my stash.
Butterflies were cut from a satin strip.

I also cut out  more white card to make the
bottoms and used distress ink to age.

Let It Snow.

Time once again for the girls to show
their makes for the Christmas Card Club.
The theme this time set by Christine is
'Let It Snow'
Another delve into my used Christmas cards stack
produced this card front.
Loads of the white stuff on here.
To me this was just begging to be made  into a
Shaker Card.
At this point I should really tell you that me and
'Micro beads' do not get along!!
So,  many remakes later here is the card I made.
I used an EF by Crafts -Too called 'Spots'
on a sheet of white card and then used my new
Xcut Shape Cutter System  for
Rectangle and Square Tracks which
I found quite easy to use once I had mastered
the technique of turning corners.
I cut the card down to fit behind the frame
and used 3D oblong pads cut into strips to make
the casing to contain the micro beads.
(Those little perishers have a mind of their own).
I used a piece of acetate for the window and pearls
from my stash.
The sentiment was cut from another card front.
A blank card base was covered in coloured card stock
to match the Fawn and the whole of the shaker element
was attached to the front.
