Luv a Duck!

Late to the Christmas Card Club party again but it really isn't my fault. I had every intention of posting on time then Covid 19 put a spanner in the works.  Let me explain.
Friday evening I had a rather short/sharp email from NHS telling me that my Second Covid 19 vaccine (was due to done next Tuesday)  had been cancelled and I would need to book another appointment. No explanation as to why. Had to wait till Saturday morning to ring the Pharmacy who told me rather unhelpfully  that it was probably due to having run out of vaccine and advised me to go on line and wait for their name to come back up on the list again. The next available slot I could get was on next Wednesday at a Pharmacy even further away 20.5 miles and not 8.5 miles (as with the first one) but I booked it as if I had waited for a nearer address to come up  I would be over my 12 weeks between doses. Consequently today was taken up with doing a dummy run as we didn't know the town the new pharmacy was in   and needed to see how long it would take.  Well 2hrs round robin trip and considerable more miles than the crow flies too  of 75 miles door to door.
Had a quick coffee and  logged into my computer to get my cards posted and then  a bang on the door and my online grocery shop had turned up 2hrs early!!  It has not been my day today.

Anyways here are my cards.Just 3 this time. Rachel  chose the theme of Humour. Not sure my cards comply with that as humour is very subject to each persons taste but they are kinda cute so going with anything goes.

All made with toppers left over from a sheet I have had in my stash for years. Not even sure now who by. I used various sheets of card stock for the bases and then raided my stash of gold sticker embellishments for the sentiments on two of them and then the edgings for all three.

I need to get my skates on now and make an anniversary card for my Son and Daughter in law which needs to be posted asap.

Hugs
and keep safe.

Well you have had a day of it...hope it improved towards the end.
A super set of cards, I love the style of the artwork on the toppers and you've embellished them beautifully with gold peel-offs. Said peel-offs seem to be never-ending, I've had them since I first started card-making about 13 years ago and I still have tons to use :)

Sorry to hear about your difficult day- it seems ridiculous to have to travel all that way to get your vaccine- hope it all works out in the end!
Fabulous cards- love those images!

What a palaver Mrs A! Hope it all works out with the jab - ridiculous distance to travel. And I also read on Brenda of 'Allsorts etc. challenges' that she can't have Astra Zenica due to being Immune Compromised - she was sent away from having her first jab and told she needed Pfizer. Think they're trying to kill us off with confusion! Anyhows, your card are gorgeous and I had those toppers yonks ago. Think they were KanBan ............ very early ones. Still as gorgeous even now - great cards.

Hugs

I've had a similar experience with my second jab, booked and cancelled within five minutes (no choice of locations here in the Fens) told the same about supply, Pfizer in my case, then eventually re-booked for last Friday and done edging very close to the 12 weeks.

As always you've created some lovely Christmas cards.

All three cards are wonderful and yes with a cute sense of humour x.
Sorry about the hassle with your second vaccination Mrs A and you where rightly understandably anxious after your horrendous reaction to the first one...... You really could have done without the extra hassle. Sending hugs for a successful vaccination this week x.

What a bummer to prepare for the second shot and have it cancelled. That's a long way to go but you will have protection so it's worth it. These ducks are so cute!

Love your cards with the geese. The gold touch give them some extra!
Sorry to read about all the trouble about getting your 2nd vaccine. But, at the end you succeeded.
We both get our first one next Wednesday. A friend of us got an allergic reaction and is on the IC at the moment.

That seems a ridiculous carry on Valery, I don't even understand this business of having to book your own appointment, here we either get a letter with date and time and venue, or your surgery phones with your appointment to go there. Oh well, I hope all goes well on Wednesday for you.
I love your cards and that first image is brilliant, the expression on the ducks face is priceless. Beautifully designed with all the gold.
Take care and keep safe, Kate x

This is very weird Mrs A!! We should be having our 2nd vaccine before next Sunday, or we will be over 12 weeks! When we had our 1st one they said we will be contacted with our 2nd date. We hadn't heard. So today I phoned the chemist where we had it done and was told that they cannot give us a date and I should do it online or phone 911. So I phoned 911 and was told that the nearest place we could have was 47.5 miles away!! So just under 100 miles instead if 4 miles!!! We said that was not on and was told to ring again in a couple of days as he thinks they have run out of the vaccine. So I phoned our doctors surgery and so pleased I did. Straight away she booked us in for next Saturday!! It is in a Health Centre 5 miles away!

The images on your cards are great fun! It's all in the eyes!! With posh backgrounds! Love them.
Hope all goes well for you.
Big hugs, Carol S.xxx

Such cute cards ValeryAnn. What a palaver! John had both his and had to travel to the next town 12 miles away so 24 mile round trip. I presumed that would be the same for me but oh no! I had to go to a hub 29 miles away and that morning it snowed heavens hard! I am having my second one (same place) on Thursday and had an email today to remind me, as if I'm likely to forget. Hope you are okay when you get it. Christine xx

Aaaaawwww, your ducks are so cute, Mrs. A! Also love the gold frames around these adorable toppers! You've reminded me that I need to get my Rudolph Day card posted! I'm running late again!

What an ordeal with scheduling your second jab! I hope it goes better this time and that you don't have the bad reaction you had last time. I will be thinking of you and praying for you as well.
