Icicles is the theme set by Lorraine for the Christmas Card girls to show out next cards. I already had this card made from a work shop I had attended so I am hoping that the snowflakes are going to count as icicles otherwise I will use the trump card of Anything Goes. My shoulder is still painful so am finding it quite a task to craft for long periods or to use the big laptop. I try to get myself comfy in a chair and use my ipad instead.
Card uses all stamps by Woodware. The plaid background has been made using an embossing folder from Creative Expressions called Distressed lines. You ink up the folder with your chosen colour and place paper between the folder and emboss as normal. Re ink the folder and turn your paper 90 degrees to get the checkered pattern. The distressed effect is quite striking. I stamped an icicle stamp over the top in a random pattern. The wreath was inked using an oxide ink pad and then the red accent was added using a distress marker pen.

I'm impressed by your background, so clever using an EF with lines and then rotate to obtain a gingham pattern!! So impressive in purple and with that distressed look!! The wreath looks so pretty with the red details!

Hi Mrs A this is a stunning Christmas card. I love it. Have a great day. Take care. Hugs Jackie
Beautifully intense colour, icicles is a bit of a tough theme so hopefully snowflakes will suffice. Rest that shoulder.

This is such a lovely card Valery, I love the plaid background with the soft shades of colours and a pretty wreath too.
Sorry you are still suffering with your shoulder, it makes life so difficult. I hope you get some ease soon.
I've been diagnosed with gout, but I'm having awful pain behind my knees which is causing me to be very slow walking and getting up from the chair is agony. GP says it's gout related, I'm not so sure, I think it needs further investigation, but I don't see him until the second week in October as he is on holiday, and he only works at the surgery one day a week. Anyway, we struggle on, you take care hugs Kate x
Great wreath on a fab background.
So sorry to read about your shoulder. Hope it will get better soon.

I love that plaid you made and that color. The wreath looks wonderful with the plaid. Even if they aren't icicles the snowflakes are so pretty.
Lovely card! And snowflakes should fit the theme - icicles is such a tight one!
Gosh your shoulder is taking its time healing. Such a sickly pain as well.
