It was our SIL's birthday last week and this is the card I made for the occasion. I was trying to make it look like a tiered birthday cake of bottles but in hindsight I think I should have had another bottle on the bottom row and made the cake a bit wider. The stamp I was using for the bottle actually had a glass of wine and a bunch of grapes attached so I had to do a lot of stamping and masking.I coloured the bottles and vines with my promarkers and outlined the leaves using a gold gel pen. I love using this stamp set by Clear Impressions that came free in Creative Stamping magazine. It is so perfect for making male cards with.
Wow, what a lot of masking that involved! I think that I would have had my eyes crossed by the time I had masked and colored all those bottles, but this is a fabulous result. I have a stamp set with wine bottles but never know how to color the bottles. Now I'll borrow your idea and go with a dark green, which looks perfect with the purple grapes.
Well worth all the effort Valery it’s a brilliant card both outside and inside....bet he loved it!....xxxx
Now that is my kind of cake! Well worth the effort, it's a stunning card.
Wow! That is a lot of masking, but a great result
Worth the effort, it has turned out superb.xxx
Lots of work but with a great result!
A super creation and I just counted he bottles and there are ten so that song will be going round all day.
A fantastic card Valery Anne, worth all of your hard work masking it look wonderful.
Wow, what a fun idea for this card. A lot of masking but it is so fun. The gold outline on the leaves really brings them to life. I think she'll really like this. What is a shark's favorite sandwich? Peanut butter and jellyfish. Have a great weekend.
WOW what a staggering pyramid...brilliant design .
Lots of effort but worth it! Great card! x
Wow that must have taken ages to do but the finished image is brilliant xx
Absolutely beautiful Valery, lovely image and beautifully coloured, love what's inside too, Kate x x

So clever making this stunning card using only a bottle stamp!! You have
done a fab work with masking!! It surely has been so fatiguing but the result looks amazing! Great card!
Great masking stamping Mrs A, I think the effort was well worth it. I'm sure your SIL loved it.
10 green bottles standing on a card. Great images and design and well done for all the masking.
Wow, as everyone else has said it was worth the effort... lovely job with the masking and a great idea
This is my kinda card! Stack 'em up, and then bottoms up! LOL just kidding, this is really a great card for someone who loves wine! I'm one of those weird ones that does not care for wine :)
I think the bottle cake looks just fine. That's a lot of fiddly masking & stamping, so I applaud your patience (and finite skills - I always seem to get a halo when masking!) Love the bright greens on this...I bet your SIL loved it! TFS & Hugs
Looks awesome inside and out, love the whole card.x
Aren't you clever?! Wonderful guy card!
What a fun card, that took tremendous patience!
brilliant idea to stamp the bottles in the cake theme!
I love thid pretty stamp. I am just working on placecards, name tags and menus for my daughters 13th Anniversary. The grandchildren are making dinner at my eldest daughters. They are turning her house into a restaurant called the Spicy Meatball. Oh yes, I must make the restaurant name sign too! What fun
