KandA and I are back to show you
some more inspiration for my
The challenge is running for 4 weeks this time
and this is the half way stage.
There is still 2 weeks left to enter your projects.
We would both love to see you over at the
Here is KandA's cards.
Please do pop on over to KandA's blog
for full explanation on how they were made.
Thankyou KandA for coming up trumps with
both of these cards.
I love the apertures on them .
Here are my cards to help inspire you.
I have used a Clarity Stencil 'Poppies' and coloured through
the stencil using water colour pencils.
I must admit I'm a tad disappointed with the result.
Firstly as I still wasn't feeling a hundred percent when I made the card
and then the pencils I was using were only cheap ones
which kept breaking. I couldn't get a fine enough point on them.
I will be investing in some dearer ones . You get what you pay for
is a good idium!!
Anyway I diffused the result with a piece of sparkly gauze material
which did make it look slightly better.
The aperture was cut using X Cut Rectangle dies.
The whole thing was adhered to apricot card stock as the base card.
I added an extra strip of cardstock along the bottom which I punched
using my Martha Stewart ribbon threader.
Decoupage butterfly is more of the ' Tbz -Kaart ' sheets in my stash.
I cut and layered 2 using 3d sticky pads
then swooshed over with a wink of stella pen and sprinkled
with glimmer dust. I picked out one of the colours from
the butterfly for the ribbon I threaded through the punched holes.
Gems and black glossy sticker sentiment from my stash.

My second card uses a Craft Die by Sue Wilson
'Butterflies in flight'
It cuts like a dream and comes with 4 separate
matching little butterflies.
I have just used two of them and cut from
the same cardstock that I have backed the trellis aperture with.
I cut the trellis out on cream water colour card.
The design paper was from Making Cards July 2015
their Busy Butterflies collection.
All adhered onto apricot card stock
folded to make an oblong card base.

Hi Mrs A,
what wonderful cards.
They are both very lovely, and gorgeous designs.
I love the sparkle on the first.
I think you water colouring is great.
I have Derwent pencils I bought at least 10 years ago, and they work very lovely if that's any help when choosing your new ones.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

#1 looks beautiful to me, and I loved your diffuse idea. Your poppies look quite splendid to me! I will admit #2 is my fav, because I'm weak when it comes to the SW dies. I've seen this striplet, and think of you each time I drool over it! Hope you are feeling stronger each day, TFS & Big hugs.
Gorgeous cards from you both, fabulous inspiration for the theme.
