Not as Planned.

I'm having a run of breakages at the moment.
The latest casualty being my Heat Gun!!
I went to use it last night and it was dead as a door nail.
Hence the  title of the post as this is not the card
I had planned  to show as my  latest inspiration
 for my Butterfly Challenge.
A not so quick change of plan was needed
which also nearly came unstuck when I found I didn't
have  a white ink pad  but by this time I was desperate
so 'London Fog' had to suffice instead.
on White pencil highlights for Stamping
and decided to have a go.

I used Crafts-Too you Square scalloped edge die PCD 77
and Woodware Stamp Camellia JGS 254
Th butterflies/gems and white colour pencil
were from my stash.
Backed onto dark blue pearlised paper and a scalloped card blank.

Iv'e ordered a new  Heat Gun so watch this space
for the intended card!!!

Lovely even if not as planned. I know my husband would be far more upset than I if my heat gun didn't work...he is always borrowing it for his workshop. LOL

Your card is so soft and lovely even if this is not what you has programmed! The idea of white pen highlights is very good, the camelia seems embossed!
I wish you that your heat gun arrive quickly! In the mean time, I think that pheraphs you can try getting an iron very close without touching the paper...

Gorgeous card ValeryAnne. Gosh must be dreadful to loose your heat gun. I can't without it. Lucky for me I have a spare one because I also use it a lot in my craft classes. I will try to play along now the craft show is finished I have a little bit more time.

What a disaster, a broken heat gun! I'd have to order one for express delivery, couldn't go more than a day or two without it. But you've overcome the problem with a really beautiful card, and it persuaded you to try a new technique too, so it was probably a good thing that it went when it did

It's typical Mrs A, these things always happens when we least want them. But what a striking creation, it looks like parchment craft with the delicate colouring.

See you over at the Playground and don't forget to pop up to the treehouse for a tipple.

We're having breakages too, most majorly the heating. Brr.
That technique is really effective, I'll go and look it up. Look forward to the original plan, too.

Thank you so much for your visit to my blog. I am sorry you have been having troubles with Blogger, too. It is a real pain. I am totally fascinated by your work. I have been going down your posts and looking at and reading about the processes you have followed to get you final pieces. I especially love the Shaker card and the way you work with the roses. You certainly are talented. Your work is beautiful.

I've been suffering with chronic bouts of insomnia so am up way too late. Those heat guns do have a tendency to go when you need them the most, been caught out more than once myself so I have two now. This is beautiful and shows the technique Jennifer McGuire shared perfectly, I also follow her blog, she is good with sharing techniques and tutorials Karen xx

I feel sorry for you running out of the heatgun. But instead of using it you made a gorgeous card anyway. White/blue is one of my favorite combinations.
And I see now that I have won the candy and I am thrilled about that! Lucky me...!!!
I will write an e-mail as well. Thank you so much already.
Hugs,
Lia xx
