Anything but a Card

Appologies for absence .
I have not been able to access the Internet since Friday.
I changed service providers to combat the problems
I have been having and paid a yrs Internet in advance
thinking I 'd get a top notch service.
 No such luck!!
I'm in an Internet cafe at the moment drowning my sorrows.
Needs must!

Anything but a Card is the theme this week
over at the Christmas card Club and was chosen by Lizzie.
I had this plain carrier bag on my desk and a sheet of
used wrapping paper and so an  idea was born.
A quick rummage around and I found some ribbon
and a packet  of freebie stamps (still on my desk).
You may be forgiven for thinking I have a huge desk to work on.
I don't it's just piled up 12"high leaving me a  small
micro space to work from.
I had just bought the la Blanche
'Father Christmas ' stamp also still on my desk.
Another rummage and I found some Glamour dust,
Anita's glitterations 'Happy Christmas'
And a packet of unkown snowman 3d stickers.

The eagle eyed amongst you will notice
I changed the ribbon to tartan which went much better
with the patterned paper.

I also found a wooden sentiment that
I coloured with a red marker pen and glamour dust .
I coved the sides and handles with the paper and then
just went to town on the front of the bag.
Less is certainly not more in this case!

Looks wonderful. I had a giggle at you about the size of your desk and how you have left a micro space for yourself to work.
My desk is quite a long countertop and I am still only working on a micro spot myself as it is a bit piled up at the moment...we are all the same methinks!
Your bag is so festive and I do love that beautiful plaid ribbon with your Santa image!

Love this idea, it's made a plain bag so much more! Sorry to hear about the internet problems, just what you don't need at the moment. Hope things are alright, thinking of you, Rocky.

Bummer on the internet woes. I hope the sorrows were drowned with something very tasty that makes the anger (er..I mean sadness) much less a priority! Your bag is beautiful. I like the festive paper and the wooden sentiment. I really love the stamp (as I have it - a NBUS!) Now if I were just as imaginative as yourself, I'd have used him to do a pretty bag too, instead of passing on this challenge! Good luck with the internet. They have us at their mercy. Blogger is teasing today, some blogs just sit there & won't scroll up. Or else it takes forever. And with me here trying to play catchup! Happy Week ahead and TFS - Hugs.

Great gift bag Mrs A! Gosh that Santa stamp is so similar to the Paper Artsy 'Noel 1' stamp. Err, just checked, no it isn't although they're both very jolly chappies of course :)
