Time to show another card for the Christmas Card club I have joined.
The theme this time has been set by Karen B and is
Poinsettias .
I fancied have a go at another new card shape .
I have not done this one before and found it very easy.
The only variation I did was to add a belly band for the closure.
I also used A4 Card so did a miner adjustment to the fold measurements.
See I said it was easy peasy!
I used SU card stock for my base and used the tutorial above.
DP. is from Holly Hobbie's Christmas collection.
Here is the card closed with the belly band in place.
Sentiment is a Britannia word die.
The Back decorated with part of the inside digi with room for a greeting.
Digi is by Digi Darla
'Poinsettia Vase.'
They seem to have now closed as the link I had is no longer available.
Coloured with Promarkers, Pearlescent chalks and gold gel pen.
Close up of the vase of flowers.
I had to stick a couple of fallen leaves at the base of the pot!
I use a spare piece of paper for testing the Promarker colours
but inadvertently used the card I was colouring instead and
just as I was putting the last finishing touches by filling in the vase colour too.
No way was I colouring in the whole digi again!!!
Disaster averted.
