Butterfly with Doily Stencil.

It's the 2nd week of my Butterfly Challenge.
Theme is to use a doily + your butterfly on your project.
Here's what I have made  for further  inspiration for you.

Take one plastic doily stencil.
This was a gift sent to me so have no makers name .

I had a picture from my first art class which was the obligatory
Still life Apple which you can see here.
Time to repurpose I think
I gave the canvas a good coating of  'Blue Babe' tester pot paint to cover.
Placed the stencil where I wanted it and then used a pencil to draw round the lines.
Removed the stencil and filled in using  'Enchanted Eden'  tester pot.
'Bullrushes'  panel stencil is by  Imagination crafts.
Again I drew through  the design with a pencil and then filled in using
Josonja's  'Burnt Umber' acrylic artist paint.
Butterfly is by Dufex decoupage topper in fine metallic.
I purchased my sheets from Pinflair.

Close up of butterfly which is really pretty.
I have purchased several sheets of these as prizes.
Hope I have inspired you to join in this time.

Oh my! I enjoyed reading the how's on this one. That is some gorgeous butterfly too. It looks so realistic with the spots & shading on the colors. Loved reading how you used the stencils and it made for one simply gorgeous card. Hope your weather has improved lately. We've had sunshine & heat. TFS & Hugs

oh oh OHHHH! Mrs. A this is FABULOUS! Love that gorgeous doily stencil, but I especially love what you have done with it - such vibrant coloring in the shape of a daisy! GREAT IDEA! Your project is beautiful (especially with those cat tails). Thank you for the inspiration and showing me how to more creatively utilize my stencils! Truly beautiful. On a side note, thank you for your recent thoughtful comment. My finger tips are slowly becoming less painful, so I am trying to type a little bit more each day without triggering the symptoms again LOL huggers, de
