Lunch in the Garden.

In between the periodic showers today  we  have managed to have lunch in the garden sitting at the table down the end . We had butternut squash /aubergine pate on biscuits with a prosecco or two!

We then decided that the Azalea  bush in the front garden needed staking up after the hail storms of yesterday so it was very much a case of you hold it whilst I bash it!!!

This is the bush  after we had  staked it up. p.s. We are still talking.

I had cleared the little stream out last week of all the fallen leaves and debris and found a total of 15 newts in there so after carefully putting the mud back into the bottom  along with the newts the water has now balanced out to crystal clear and the newts are happily sun bathing on the pile of  stones at the  end.  (not shown in this photo before Jules blows it up.) Please note that I very carefully stood  behind the statute of David to take this  snap!

As there are snippets of flowers (snapped off in the wind)  in the pot am entering into:

Pixie's Crafty Workshop. #117. Use up your snippets.

Sounds as if you have had an enjoyable time in your garden - let's hope there is plenty more sunshine to enjoy over the coming months.

Glad you have managed some time out in the sunshine - I was going to venture out, but it hailed here, then rained and now the temperature is plummeting! Missed my chance! Love your snippets!!!

Not warm enough here to lunch in the garden but quite a lot of work was done in it in between the hail today. Your garden looks very pretty.

Hi Mrs A
Hate to tell you but your azalea is a camelia and a beautiful one at that.
Prosecco, ummm my favourite, particularly if its a millesimato. The pate sounds delish too. Sadly, a bit too nippy here for an outside lunch today but here's hoping for warmth again soon.

Been freezing here today even the sun couldn't warm it up, lucky you.
Garden looks fab and I did giggle at your entry for the snippets challenge, you may have started something here, I can see everyone trying to find something unusual to use as a snippet to enter into the playground.

Ahhh, this is what spring looks like... I had forgotten... If I had eaten my lunch outside I would have sat in the snow... At least the sun was shining...
You have a lovely garden! I would love to come and sit with you at this beautiful table, have some tea and look around at all the flowers and the greens... Ahhh!

Your garden is lovely, the sun is out today, it's just melting the frost, I may attempt a cuppa in the garden if it warms up a bit.
I'd love to have a few newts in the garden :)
