I used torn up kitchen paper towel with mod podge to cover the tubes.
Once dry I gave them a coat of tester pot paint which I had left over from a previous project.
The paper towel gives a nice textured finish .
I used up scraps of lace , ribbon bow, pre cut flower die cuts
pearls, mother of pearl buttons and cream cord from my stash.
Butterflies were cut using Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterflies #2 DL 113AB
Made as a project for my Butterfly challenge #2.
In use with my Promarkers all nicely kept in their colour ranges.
Fluff will be so proud of me.!!

Great recycled project, I love the texture that the paper towel gives, and the embellies look fantastic too, Cathy x

Great make fabulous colours and I once used these to make a vase with, for hand made flowers fastened onto wooden bar-b-que skewers.

Brilliant project. I have mod podge! xxx
Stunning project!!! I don't have mod podge but it is in my wish list:). Love the idea.
Your pots are really pretty, and I'm sure you will be able to make plenty more as you need to. You might wanna store the pens the other way up... xx
Another lovely use of Buttons – thank you so much for entering my challenge on OBAG, keep using up all that old stash and join us again for our next challenge!
These are very nice pen holders and look like something you'd pay top dollar for at a boutique. Very fancy!
What a GREAT recycled project, Mrs. A! The butterflies and flowers are delightful! And your collection of markers: WOW! I need some markers that work 'with' me (so far, Copics and distress markers aren't my 'thing,' I fear. Maybe just some good old fashioned coloured pencils....). Hugs~c
These are fabulous - a wonderful makeover project!
