Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

This is a little Advent  banner that I have made using watercolour card(300GSM) cut to ATC size.
I saw this Christmas idea in a recent Craft Stamper magazine and have adapted it here for the nursery rhyme Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. (Are you all singing and humming the tune as you read?)

I have used distress inks in two shads of blue which I have dripped onto my craft sheet and then spritzed with water. The card was simply dropped onto the top and smootched around to cover. Turned over and smootched again. A quick drying off in the airing cupboard and then the star stamp (freebie from the above mag) inked in dark blue over the top. The moons were made using a sponge dauber for stenciling. The wording was created on my computer and stuck onto thin card and then die cut out. Lots of glitter added to make it sparkle and catch the light.

All joined together with ribbon knotted between and a length left either end for hanging.
This is now with my swap partner Bee who I have exchanged 24 advent prezzies with.
All the gifts are christmas orientated or made using details from the profile we received
from our partner. Bee loves blue and this was her day No6. gift. (Can  you guess which colour  I said was my favourite!!!).

Would like to enter into the following challenges:

Really lovely Mrs A - such a lovely gift swap. Love those blues too!

Right, driving off at speed from the scene of devastation - hmm, for that we might make you stand and hold the star over the show for the duration so get limbering up :)

Have a lovely day, hugs, Di xx

Oh so pretty, I love the shades of blue!

(Do you know the alternative version? 'Twinkle, twinkle, chocolate bar, My dad drives a rusty old car. Turn the key, pull the choke, Off he goes in a puff of smoke! Twinkle, twinkle, chocolate bar, My dad drives a rusty old car.' Well it amuses me!)

love Mags B x

What a great little project. With all the late night visits to the playground. How do you find the time to craft? Happy holidays and have fun holding that star up! I think I shall volunteer to sing the little drummer boy. Really, really slow!
