Quilted Jacket

I'm knee deep in projects at the moment so have resorted to showing you something that I made earlier. We were all going to the quilters guild show and a friend said "You are taking along something that youv'e made to wear aren't you as Iv'e entered you in the catwalk show". This was like 5 days before the event! Hells bells now you tell me. It was made but all still in pieces on the floor 12 hours before we were due to leave. I have never worked so hard through the night to get it put together. Friend was driving thankfully so I cat napped in the back on the drive up. When we got to the venue the next bomb shell was " Youv'e got your speech ready haven't you " Not only did I have to model the jacket but I had to stand on stage and give a 1 minute talk on how I made it. By the skin of my teeth!

Oh how BEAUTIFUL - I'm loving those colors and the fabrics...oh, just darling, Mrs. A. I'm sure you did a fine job twirling about showing this beauty off and your speech...well, if your children inherited their gift of gab from you, the whole show was well entertained and delighted! :-P

The workshop on 21st April at Doodles is Recycle/Reuse, art on old book pages. (Not well advertised by the shop). If you can come bring an apron or old clothes to use printing inks.
Next workshop is on 19th May and covers preparing a background and one way to transfer an image. Regard Jackie
