A Bauble or Two.

Don't even ask me where the past two weeks have gone. I feel like I have been doing nothing but sourcing food on the internet. My long awaited (ordered 6 weeks ago) food delivery finally arrived so my fridge is filled with the basics again. Yogurt has never tasted so good!!
I also found that my local garden centre was making deliveries of limited stock to it's nearby villages so I managed to get some tomato grow bags, tomato plants and flowers for my pots and hanging baskets.
Internet is all sorted. The problem was with the router which had only half recovered itself from the internet provider doing some maintenance work last weekend. My computer basically thought I was trying to hijack myself and was denying me access to all my files.
Time again for the girls in the Christmas Card club to show our next makes. Kate chose the theme of 'A Bauble or Baubles'. A search through my stamps found the following and I set to and made 4 cards. My mojo has done a long hike and taken social distancing to the extreme so I am afraid my offerings  are plain and simple.

First card is  a Bauble by Spellbinders From their Heirloom Ornament stamp set  which came free in a Simply Cards and Paper Craft magazine a while back. Inked with versamark and embossed with Gold powder. The gold edging was in my stash. Mounted onto gold pearlescent card and then a white card base.
I have absolutely no idea why I decided to levitate the hanger above the bauble!!

Second card uses another Bauble from the same set but I just inked in black and mounted onto black card stock and then onto a mustard coloured base card. Silver trim from my stash.

Houdini is at it again!!

Third card uses a Bauble stamp by Tattered Lace From their Exclusive Never Ending Stamps that came free in a magazine. I stamped in black ink and then went over the design with a silver gel pen.  Silver edging from stash. Mounted onto sage green card and then onto a red card base.

Last Card uses a Bauble by Clearly Besotted which I stamped out twice in versamark and then embossed with gold powder. The corners and gold edging from my stash. Mounted onto red card and then sage green for the base card.
Ooopsy! Was wondering why comments were starting to appear below referring to only 3 cards. Would be a good idea if I had  remembered to upload the last piccy! Der. That's what happens when you write a post up at 2am in the morning. Even then I went on to watch a Barbara Gray video  from her 10 o'clock shows and doodled a picture along with her. Made it to bed about 4am but then time is a bit irrelevant right now with no place special to go except the garden!

There you go. Now it all makes sense.

It is Rudolph Day over at Scrappy Mo's monthly challenge so I am playing along with my first card.

Hope you are all keeping safe and well.

Wonderful cards and I love the Houdini
Glad you finally received your internet food.
Is it forbidden to shop in the supermarket?
Have a great day and keep safe and healthy.

3 gorgeous cards Mrs A....all so those spellbinders stamps.....
We had to give up on the food delivery as we would have starved couldn’t get a slot for 4 weeks so Rich is going out once a week at the time reserved for the oldies and we are managing to get everything on a regular basis now...and the garden is slick and span...chairs painted even the fence panels till we ran out of paint.....this lockdown is really making us get on with jobs.....take care xxx

Hello Valery, your cards are beautiful, the Spellbinders stamps are gorgeous, especially with the embossing powder. I love Clearly Besotted stamps, so that card is so pretty too.

Well done in getting your delivery, folks seem to have an awful job getting a slot. We just go to the Supermarket at the time for the oldies, mind you there a lot of non oldies sneaking in.
Anyhoo, keep well and safe, Kate x

For some strange reason, that Houdini effect looks good to me! The very top of the bauble is too pretty with the design to cover up! A great trio of cards! I'm very sorry about the loss of your friend Brian, but I'm sure he knew you cared. This virus is tearing families apart and it's just heartbreaking. Glad you finally got your food order too - these are some very trying times for all of us and I hope they soon return to a sense of normalcy. Take good care, hugs to you and yours!

They might be plain and simple but are none-the-less gorgeous Mrs A. A fabulous set of cards for our challenge this week.

Gorgeous cards ValeryAnne. Reminds me that I have that Spellbinder stamp set and haven't used it for years. Time to release it from jail I think. I know what you mean about Mr Mojo. My guy must be on holiday with yours! Our village shop does free home deliveries since the crisis, but unfortunately John has problems which means I have to buy only certain products. I go to Sainsbury's and 8am every two weeks and I must admit that I am on edge all the time even though they are very strict about social distancing and only letting in a certain number at a time. I make my list and stick rigidly to it, no browsing as I would normally. Take care. Christine

Great FOUR cards Valery!
We are venturing out once a week to do a food shop but I confess that sometimes I find it really stressful as some don't know the meaning of the words social distancing!

Wonderful card designs Valery. We certainly are in strange times now, if I have to order off the internet it still seems strange for me. I keep thinking what happened to just popping down to the store for what you need.

Beautiful selection of cards for that unmentionable word lol! Glad you got your internet sorted and you finally got a food delivery! Though 6 weeks is a bit bad! Enjoy your gardening.

You're getting well ahead with your Christmas cards Mrs A.- 4 more beauties to add to your stash. I keep telling myself it would be a good idea to make some now while I have time but I'm just not listening! Have spent most of the day in the garden but came indoors now for some peace and quiet. Our neighbours are lovely people but when all 8 of them are in the garden yelling down their mobile phones it's a bit difficult to relax! Oh well, live and let live at least it's peaceful usually!

Your cards look fabulous!
You are slways so good about making multiples too...
I think my fave is the first one where you embossed with the mettalic powders.
You would never know it by looking at my blog, but i love embossed images. i just forget to try it myself.
My powders are in baskets in the alcove to room which is sort of hidden from my mail room. It is a small area where i have a desk and computer at one end and the dreesser I refinshed with chalk paint and posted a short whole ago. The embossing powders and the little cloth bag of talc sit in 3 of the brown baskets on the shelves. Seems for me it is out of sight, out of mind!

Take care Valerie Ann. I am glad your internet is sorted. I bet you are really enjoying the garden. You will have to post some photos later in the year. I remember the ones you posted where you had done some garden redesign and I thought it looked fabulous.

Our daughter drives by a nursery/greenhouse on her way home from work. They have started selling from rack of plants in the parking lot. Each rack is about 6 feet high and 6 feet wide. They are set up about 15 or maybe 20 feet apart! You pay with an honesty locked box. Prices are huge signs so no chance to be mistaked. But they are only open certain days for a short period of time. She grabbed me some geraniums and some daisy type fillers.
I had a bit of ivy from last year so divided it up and reallocated it. Sort of pitiful looking tubs but better than none.

No geranium baskets there but she did get me some huge fuscia baskets for my shady areas. Now that it is looking a little more flowery, I find I sit out more now with a coffee.

Thanks for taking part in the April Rudolph Days Challenge.

Take Care

Four lovely creations, great stamps and dies and like all the different choices of colours.. Plain and Simple eh, no link to my blog though. I have sown my own tomato and cucumber seeds, just nicely peeking out of the soil, cut's doing better than toms though.

Glad you got your order. Not being able to run to the store & pick up something is the hardest thing about the lockdown for me. Not sure what I'll do about a hanging basket this year. Elegant cards which always appeal to me & the silver is my favorite!

A lovely set of CAS cards. 2am and 4am are both my friends at the moment too!

So pleased you are stocked up again as I know what a nightmare you've had getting slots. I've been lucky the last couple of weeks as Waitrose give me priority as well so been able to juggle the slots.

A super collection of cards for the Christmas box.

Six weeks is a long time to wait for your food order. I'm glad you finally got it. The delay here for online grocery orders was 8 days last time I checked, and many times they substitute the out-of-stock items. I've been going to the grocery store and people have been good about respecting the directional arrows and social distancing, but I go early, during the seniors/ disabilities hour, at 7 a.m. A lot of people wear masks and I think I'm going to try to make some for Brian and me, although I haven't sewn since Home Ec class 40 years ago. In any event, your bauble cards are all gorgeous!
