Poppies with Butterflies

It's the second week of  the

Here is my next inspiration card for you. I have combined the design with  Poppies for Remembrance Day.

Card base is made from red cardstock cut to size. The silver card has been cut just slightly smaller and  then the Memory box Prim Poppy die cut to one side. I removed the die cut poppy and re cut using red and green card stock. Relaid the green poppy die cut inside and then cut the poppies from the red die cut and placed on top of the green. This gave the poppy heads a slightly raised look.
The cut out butterflies Are Dufex Decoupage toppers in black /red/silver. I created the quote in word , changed the background to dark grey and the words into white print.   Backed onto red card and then punched out Using SU 's Curly Label.

Wow, these poppies look fabulous with their "shades"! Layering them has been a brilliant choice! Beautiful computer generated label, too, another great idea writing in white onto dark grey!

Very striking, poppies always look good on cards. A clever idea to raise them like that.

Hi, ValeryAnne! Beautifully designed, autumn-colored, inlaid card design! I especially like the shininess in the design elements, and your darling sentiment! They really are flying flowers. And if they appear to have dull wings on one side, then the other side is spectacular! Always a surprise.

Thank-you for joining us at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge "Anything Craft Goes". I hope you have enjoyed playing along as much as we have enjoyed seeing your talent. Please check back to see if you are a winner!

A lovely Remembrance Day card. The poppies are beautiful and those butterflies are just gorgeous. I don't know what Dufex Decoupage is but I love it!

Wonderful work with the inlay technique, and it's a beautiful poppy. The decoupage butterflies look very much like cloisonné work and until reading the post, that's what I thought it must be. A very CAS but gorgeous card. I'm with Brenda, I don't know the decoupage product, but it's very lovely. TFS & have a great upcoming week
