The latest letter to use over at the Craft Barn for the Alpha challenge is the letter J. I have chosen Jigsaw as my word. A quick trip down the local charity shop and the handing over of 50p purchased me a jigsaw to bring away and use. First though I had to make the Jigsaw up and it was a hard one to do as the pieces were much the same colour. Here is just one tiny corner of the completed picture as it was 500 pieces in total.
I gave the page a paint over using a matchpot tester in 'Dusted Fondant' and the dictionary page has been brushed over using a pearlescent chalk in pale pink. Piece of rope just happened by chance to be on my desk so I used it! The letter J was created using Sizzix Alphabet die '656133. The page came together quicker than the Jigsaw did. Trust me to choose the hardest one on the shelf!!
Entering into the following challenge:
The Craft Barn Alpha challenge. Use the letter J.

I love this - what a clever idea and I love the recycling. Will have to pop down to one of our local charity shops soon xx
Lovely page and use of colours - a fab addition to your book.
Oh you are doing so well keeping up with all the letters. What a wonderful page.

Hugs, Di xx
What a brilliant idea Mrs A! Formerly I loved to do jigsaw puzzles (the humouristic ones), but since I'm a cardmaker I don't have any time left...perhaps when I'm retired???
Fabulous idea actually using part of a Jigsaw lovely page great fun

I have always loved jigsaw pieces in artwork! The giant pieces work well too!
A fab page....... one for intellectuals who have large dining tables and no cats.
Have you ever got to a crucial part of a jigsaw for the cat then to jump up and go skating on it..... all to crash on the floor?
:)

Clever girl- great interpretation for the letter - looks fab!
Very clever!
What a fun card with all the nifty embellishments you chose to emphasize your letter J. Loved the pieced puzzle fragment against your dictionary background and this is going to be quite a page in your book! You also had the fun of assembling the puzzle too. This bookpage will bring back some good memories I expect. TFS & Hugs
Dusted Fondant is a very soft color...sort of like Fondant candy being soft. Love how you added a jigsaw puzzle to your J page. Blissfully Creative Dear...
Good job. You have the patience of a saint. I put puzzles together with a hammer. Sometimes the picture is a bit strange (smiling). You done good!
This is an awesome take on the letter J. Very clever idea and cute card.
How clever to use a jigsaw puzzle for the letter J! It's been years since I put a puzzle together. I remember it was a lot of fun though. Some were more fun than others.
This is good Mrs A. Now what are you going to do with the jigsaw now that you have a chunk missing?
What time is the party kicking off then?
xx
Clever, creative and a wonderful way to recycle an old jigsaw puzzle!
Go, you, for getting even part of that jigsaw done, it looks like what my hubby calls 'A Monster!' (He's a jigsaw fan. There are times that I can't call my dining table my own, there are so many jigsaw bits on it!) What a clever idea for a page!
love Mags B x
Oh rats, I totally forgot to say that I hope you're feeling mush better!
