And Baby Makes Three.

Time for another of Mrs A's Bloomers so grab a coffee and have a chuckle at my expense.
I'm going way back in time for this  tale to when Fluff was just a  baby about 9mths old(Not so long ago then I hear Fluff say).
This particular day was cold but bright and I decided to walk with the pram to the shops about 2miles away as I needed to do a supermarket shop. So I loaded the tray on under the pram to stack the shopping on and away we went. We duly arrived at the shop (starts with S and ends in ys you know the one I mean) parked up outside grabbed a trolley and did the shopping. Fluff was being very good by the way. Got back home just in time for lunch and a nap for Fluff. Unpacked the shopping and spent the afternoon ironing. Time for tea and to cook the evening meal as The Doc would be home shortly. Fluff bathed, fed and ready for bed  and dinner cooking nicely and The doc gets in.  After about half an hour he asks if I went shopping  and I said yes. At this The Doc looks at me and says
Well where's the pram then!!!!!
Do you ever get that sinking feeling when you realise what you have just done?
Yep I had come out of the supermarket with Fluff tucked under one arm two loaded up bags of shopping on the other, promptly walked round the corner and caught the bus home!
My wail of 'At least I didn't forget the baby  'went on deaf ears as we all bundled into the car and raced back to the  supermarket and do you know what? The pram was exactly where I had left it 7 hours before! Phew.

You will  have probably realised by now that I do a card to go with  the story  so here it is.

Oh Mrs A - no wonder I don't let you look after the milk money - you'd lose it right away! So funny! My parentes (honest to goodness) moved house when I was at school and I didn't have the new address. OK, so Dad was supposed to meet me at the bus stop (Singapore days) but he got the time mixed up and expected me an hour later. Tell you what, I was a LOT more scared than your pram was :(

Super card, love the baby - PLUS pram :))

Hugs, Di xx

Oh Mrs A, very funny and I bet you've never been allowed to forget it. Great card - I love the baby's face in that digi, it's so cute.

I was the one that left the baby! In the supermarket pram park I hasten to add, but that hasn't stopped me from regularly guilt-tripping over it ever since and she's 42 now!!! I was half way home when I remembered, only 10 minutes or so away, so I hot-footed it back to find her safe and sound asleep.

Hi Mrs A - what lovely cards I've been looking at on my catch up run round on blogland! Love the project in your last post as well - nice to see something other than a card when looking around blogworld. You are obviously a very crafty person.

Had to comment on this post tho - I agree with the others, bet you've never been allowed to forget this incident!!

I know my mum was never let forget that she let my big sis fall off a kitchen worktop or fall out of the pram in the street (plus she had to run down the street after the pram!).

Of course, I'm a perfect mother and have never, ever done anything wrong at all. Which includes shouting at a sick baby to stop whinging (I didn't know she was sick), letting a small baby fall off a sofa or anything along those lines - nope, never, not me and I'll deny it all if it comes to court!!!

Hope you have a good weekend,
Sarah

Oh how I love these posts. Had a giggle over this one as after a really long day at work, I occasionally forgot that I drove the car to the carpark and then caught the skytrain in to work...I would stagger off the train and right onto the bus at the bottom of the elevator and arrive home, look at my empty garage and think...oh no...someone stole my car...teehee
DH was ready to send me to have my head examined!

In my defence, I normally did take the bus so just couldn't break the bus ride home routime I guess...teehee

The baby's face in the pram is a sweetie and your card is going to be much loved.

You should wrap all your wonderful stories up in something called a "book" and sell it! You are an engaging and awesome writer, Mrs. A! And your cards aren't too bad either!!

I'm ever so happy no one stole your pram. I thought sure you were going to say that you walked home with the supermarket trolley!

Way back in time? Splutter. Do you want me to blow your cover next time someone asks you how old you are?! ;) so this is what you were up to. Very cute, story and card! I suppose at least you didn't leave me there. Still, I would have been more than happy with all the custard creams. X
