E is for Egyptian.

The Alpha challenge over at the Craft Barn this time is  for the letter E and I have gone with the word Egyptian.
I have an Egyptian water jug in my collection of jugs which was bought on one of our travels to Egypt a few years back. I took a photo of it and downloaded to my lap top to resize and print out.
The Catouche spells the word King in Hieroglyphics. The letter E was downloaded from here. I used a diluted wash of yellow acrylic paint over the page and decorated with some odds of yellow and black piping cord from my stash. The page edges were buffed using Inka Gold.
Close up of the page is below.

Entering into the following:
The Craft Barn: Alpha challenge letter E.

Fab project Mrs A.
It takes me back to when my Son was obsessed with the Egyptians. He did a project at School then got me to buy him all the horrible history books and then made a Copic Jar full of "Intestines"!!
Eh sorry (hope you not having your tea!) LOL

I can see a lot of work went into this page. Love the hieroglyphics and the fact that the whole page has been washed except the section for Egyptian. Hugs, Lesley
