Crochet flowers.

When I made the little dresses for the African appeal I used some crochet flowers  as adornments that Ann of Love Making Things had sent in a Whimsy jar swap we had done together. When I mentioned to Ann that I had used her flowers she offered to make me some more.

Look what turned up in the post for me today! A huge pile of flowers (83 in total) in such a lovely array of colours. Thankyou so much Ann, you made my day. I had to stop making the dresses last December when I broke my wrist and couldn't use my sewing machine but I did continue to painstakingly unpick a load of my old dresses and some garments from the local charity shop that were in pretty fabrics. So now I have a quantity of fabric and flowers to get busy with.
The totals for the Fish and Chip baby knitting appeal on Dawn's blog ended up being 2215 jumpers and 1902 beanie hats. Didn't they do well and aren't you bloggers a wonderful bunch!

Wonderful flowers there Mrs - I hear that somewhere else is still collecting Fish and Chips jumpers. Kate - Mamapez - has promised to show the link. I had to give up 'cos of rampant eczema on me 'ands caused by lanolin in the flipping yarn :( Hopefully will finish them off in little spurts.

Have a great weekend - last I heard Sarn was digging out a hammer to come and help out the construction team :(

Hugs, Di xx

Lucky you!!! And I know you will put these to great use. My 82 year old Mum makes crochet flowers for me. It takes her ages to make just one and they have a slightly distressed look about them but I love every one of them. Hugs, Lesley

I didn't know you had broken your wrist. Shame when you put it to such generous uses.
Hope that it's got all its functions back now. Take more care of yourself.

Yeah . . .and here I am . . . hammer in hand! I hear you're the head honcho for the Snippets Playground Tree House construction team Mrs A. So I've come to volunteer my services. Hope there's a first aider near by!

Those crochet flowers are just lovely. I really MUST do some crochet this week . . . . once I've put my hammer down for the day, obviously!

Hugs

Just put my chainsaw down so I could come and see your flowers. They will look soo pretty mounted on wires for our vases in the Treehouse!
Well done on the knitted chickens. They are wonderful. You are going to have to make an awful lot if you are going to make all in the playground one! LOL!

They are gorgeous, it's a very generous gift! Can't wait to see you make good use of them.

Hope your wrist is better now sweetie.

Warm hugs

Hee Hee! I have been clearing some of the ground for the treehouse, though I haven't admitted that on my blog. Photo to prove it and all complete with hard hat and chikkin wellies!

These are lovely. I am so resisting taking up crochet again, I really don't have tiime.
If you take 50 shades into the playground don't tell Di you got it from me!

Oh thank you for showing my flowers Mrs A! I do hope you don't feel pressured to start sewing - you must wait till your wrist is in tip top order.

And blimey don't your followers sound a busy bunch! All that woodworking! I'm impressed.
