New Home.

I needed a New Home card for Fluff & Co and had an idea in my head of one to make so out came my snippets folders and a quick rummge around found these bits and bobs. 2 lolly pop sticks still on my desk from last weeks card. A bit of shrink plastic for you know what , pile of assorted papers (everyone writes on their snippets right?!!) and a collection of plastic collar stiffners (remember those?). Found a huge bag of them when we cleared FIL's house and they sort of found their way into my stash.
A lot of cutting, gluing, sticking and sniffing (nealy as good as having a glass of wine) later this is what I made. Just knew those collar stiffners would come in handy. No clues as to where the "wally heart" is this time!
Entering into Di's snipets playground wk5 and might even have a go on the swings before leaving.

Also entering in the following:
Crafting when we Can: Something not intended for crafting. ( I used collar stiffeners).
Cupcake Cafts: Recycle. (I recycled lolly pop sticks and collar stiffeners).
Crafty creations: Home sweet Home.
The Poodles Parlour: Anything goes.

Oh this is FAB-U-LOUS Mrs A! Fluffie will love this! What a fabulous use of those collar stiffeners for the fence. I would never have thought of that. Hmmm, think I need to go and raid a few men's shirts that are lurking about the house! Fab use of the lolly sticks for the roof too, they make perfect eaves. You are sooo busted! Nothing gets under the radar at Cupcake. I have to say this card is even better IRL, there are so many little details to look at, I notice something different every time. And I found the button. Thank you for a perfect card and for sharing it at Cupcake. xxxx

Oh Mrs A - you've surpassed yourself here. Totally fabulous card and so clever using the collar stiffeners and lollipop stick. I've had a couple of good peeks, love those curtains and of course I found Wally :) You certainly get a gold star from the playground! I might even install a trampoline so you can have a good bounce around :)) Di xx

A great way to use up some of the scraps we have laying around. This is a beautiful 'New Home' card Mrs A. and I'm glad to see you are keeping to your pledge of UIU in 2012. I have not seen this pledge before but it is a resolution my friend and I made together so happy UIU year.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful work with us at Crafting When We Can Challenges. :-) xx

Oooh love the card - I am a sucker for houses! sorry it has taken me an age to get back to you but yes Cloth, Paper, Scissors is a mixed media magazine - it costs around £7 and is ok although I am not sure I will get it again - lots of projects but non particularly up my street. Have you invested in any distress stains yet? I really like them now - I did a class at AFTH last summer but wasnt that impressed then but since the 12 tags I love them - still havent used the new ones in the box though thats how little I have been crafting! Hope you are well :)

I came looking for your journal book you described and found a truly awesome blog. You make lovely things from items you have on hand. I can assure you, I do the same and also intend to UIU in 2012.

I like how you used the popsicle sticks in the house. All I have are a bunch of Starbuck stirrer sticks (wood, not plastic) and a correction pen for hard wood. I truly admire your ingenuity. Also, I use #6 clear plastic, like you get in some bakery items, at least here in the US, instead of shrink plastic. I have found it works just as well and keeps this item out of the landfill. Thanks again for your comments on my blog.

I found it - it's the door knob. A lovely new house card and a brilliant snippets card. The gilding flakes are fine so long as you are the only one in the room and you don't breathe until you have put them away. Thank you for visiting again this week. See you tomorrow at Julia's and in the playground on Sunday. xx Maggie
