Geisha Girl

More doodlings from my daily  sessions with Barbara Gray (Clarity Stamps) on her Face book page.
We spent a week in Japan doodling a Geisha Girl complete with Cherry Blossom. I used my colouring pencils for this one. After the Initial Gulp of how am I ever going to do this I did enjoy.

This past week we have been in New Mexico doodling  a Dream Catcher and Arrows.  Barbara is such a fun lady and her stories/antidotes she tells as we doodle along just make you laugh. Good therapy in these trying times.
Just a splash of Turquoise added as this is the colour most associated with New Mexico.A lot of their jewellery is this colour.

By no means master pieces but I am having fun drawing them.

Keep Safe and Well.

  2. Oh my word Valery these are stunning, especially the Geisha card. I've started following Barbara on you tube and loving what she's doing. Mine are not good enough to show, I'm not a natural drawer. I've ordered the postcard to colour, and looking forward to that. I just love your doodles, more like masterpieces, have a lovely day, Kate x x

  3. These are super. My Geisha girl has turned out quite large and I'm not sure I have enough space for the rest of the exercise but I will have a go. The drawing certainly keeps the mind off the troubles doesn't it.

  10. A beautiful piece Mrs A, I managed to catch a slice of Barbara's video yesterday where she was laughing about her hair and how her mother cut her fringe as a girl, she has a lovely relaxing nature and a wonderful artistic talent too.

  22. Wonderful work Mrs A! I guess Barb said she had a place in New Mexico - and her depiction is absolutely right, as is your lovely sketch. I have some beautiful turquoise jewellery from NM. The light there is amazing for artists - somewhere I will always treasure as being one of the best holidays ever.

Kim Kardashian is making COVID masks - and they're only £6.60 each. That did make me smile :) Good for her though, not overpricing - plus they look like a good design. Almost like a bra cup.
